'Battlestar Galactica' star James Callis joins 'Eureka'

Battlestar Galactica alum James Callis has joined the cast of SyFy’s Eureka, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Callis is best known for playing Dr. Gaius Baltar on Battlestar Galactica. He will appear on Eureka‘s fourth season as “Dr. Grant, a former resident of the town whose return is cause for alarm.”

First sweet.

I think the cause for concern is that he will shut down the defense network of the town thereby allowing the killer robots to run wild in Eureka (unlike every otherday).

    That was a joke because it is what his character did on BSG. If you didn’t watch it though, you wouldn’t know that. And if you didn’t watch BSG, you should rent the DVDs. It was a great show.

Interesting. He also is joining “Flash Forward,” but I don’t know if it’s a one time shot or a recurring role.

Jaime Ray Newman. Jaime Ray Newman. Jaime Ray Newman. PLEASE bring her back on the show! Her chemistry with Carter and wide eyed wonder was a breath of fresh air compared to how they have written Allison lately. I’m done with her being on the show. She yells and bitches at Carter like he’s an untrustworthy idiot, despite the fact he always saves the day. She should get a job on 24. She’d fit perfectly. But yeah, Callis is fine, and bring back Newman
