CBS producedurals held strong, NBC comedies held weak, ABC’s medical soap bloc held about the same, and to the shock of no one, American Idol dominated its competition Thursday night. Idol‘s 19.1 million viewers is a slight drop from the other episodes this week; Grey’s Anatomy still hasn’t quite bounced back from its Olympic dip; and The Marriage Ref was down 1.7 million viewers since its timeslot premiere last week (and substantially down from the 14.4 million who watched its debut).

It’s a crime that Community and Parks and Recreation are doing so poorly. They’re two of the better shows on television.
It sucks that Community & Parks and Recreation are doing so bad in ratings. Those shows are 2 of the best on TV and they only get better.
Community will be helped by survivor moving to weds
It’s amazing that ABC’s medical drama hold up so well with nothing but repeats and yet another pathetic, weak, and boring dramedy (The Deep End) as a lead for the past three months. And how NBC’s nearly dead comedy block got renewed for another season is just bizarre??? The Office of course should be renewed but everything else…??? I guess NBC is busy making plans to stay at the bottom of the barrel for another season. They might as well bring Jay Leno back into primetime while they’re at it.
