Phil Spector appealing murder conviction

Tags:

According to BBC news, the legal team behind Phil Spector is appealing his murder conviction, citing judicial error and prosecutorial misconduct. The 148-page appeal claims Spector — who pleaded not guilty to the murder of actress Lana Clarkson in 2003 — did not receive a fair trial, since prosecutors used testimony from five acquaintances to damage the producer’s image. (The women claimed Spector held them at gunpoint in different incidents dating back to the 1970s.) The brief also claims the trial’s judge allowed lawyers to insist that Spector “had a history and propensity of violence against women and thus should be convicted based on his bad character and evil propensities.”

Spector was sentenced to 15 years to life for second-degree murder in May 2009. He was given four additional years for personal use of a gun.

Phil Spector is where he belongs. He’s a vicious psychopath and the world feels like a safer place with him out of it. Hopefully he will die in prison and never see the light of day or of freedom. He’s a cold-blooded murderer.

Phil Spector was completely railroaded by that Judge. No one can put the gun in his hand, uhh no DNA folks, duh! Therefore he didn’t fire the fatal shot. It’s ridiculous that no one can accept that people do commit suicide. Lana Clarkson was reckless and had spoke and wrote about killing herself previously. Everyone always wants to blame someone else for their mistakes. I hope the appeals court brings justice to this guy. He deserves a fair shake.

How could Phillip help it if the washed-up psychotic bitch committed suicide in his house. Phillip was railroaded all the way! This travesty of justice will be overturned on appeal, and the reputation of the world’s greatest record producer EVER will be resored. Free Phil Spector NOW!
