Ex-model Irina Krupnik is mad that a bikini photo of her was used as a prop in the 2009 film Couples Retreat, which starred Vince Vaughn, and has filed a $10 million defamation lawsuit against the releasing studio, NBC Universal, according to the AP. Krupnik claims that she gave the picture’s rights over to a photo stock agency, where the filmmakers would have obtained it. Krupnik adds that a character in the movie used her photo as a sexual aid. The lawsuit apparently says Krupnik would never have allowed the photo to be morphed from “a commonplace swimwear ad to softcore pornography.” A rep for NBC Universal released the following statement about the lawsuit: “The photo at the center of this claim was licensed to Universal and the studio was entirely within its rights to use it in Couples Retreat.”

From this item, it sounds like the filmmakers were within their rights to use the photo.
Maybe Krupnik should actually be flattered – if she wants to sue for something, maybe she should sue for unwittingly being associated with “Couples Retreat.”
I agree 110% with Ceballos up there.
She should be suing after being associated with one of the worst movies I have ever had the misfortune of viewing. I’m pretty sure they didn’t even have a script as they boarded the plane to Bora Bora to shoot the movie, oh pardon me, I mean go on vacation with their friends and make me help pay for it.
Vince Vaughn has no regard or respect for the viewing public. I will NEVER, and I mean NEVER, watch anything he’s associated with EVER FREAKIN’ AGAIN.

Sorry model, but if you give the rights of a photo to a stock photo company… this is exactly what stock photos are for. Inexpensive purchase and subsequent use. It would be one thing if they’d manipulated the photo to be somehow pornographic… but they didn’t. Sounds like they were well within their rights to me.
How russian woman like of her. This girl used to use “Irene” as her name to do provacative shots calling herself a “model.” Cheap trashy modeling that is. Then she tries to sue for using her pictures? For 10 million dollars? This girl is kidding? She is not worth that at all. She works at Bergdorf hair salon doing eyebrows for a living. Like no education,
I guess she has to sue people to make a living. Or live off her husband whom is being accused of breaking the law at his job. Suckers were meant for one another
Wow. I know this girl. Once her ex boyfriend that she was lived with cheat on her with 2 of her best friends behind her back and so many other girls in NY. Now I am surprise she have not sued them too!
