The men of American Idol topped the ratings chart Wednesday, but their performance night didn’t best the ladies’: roughly 2 million more viewers tuned in Tuesday for the women. Speaking of the fairer sex, The CW debuted a new season of America’s Next Top Model, followed by the new series High Society, which couldn’t hold on to the crowd.

Aside from the lackluster appeal the guys have shelled out, FOX’s decision to put Human Target in the 8 p.m. slot and AI at 9 definitely helped that -2 million.

Hey readers, it’s the Zuck-meister again!
Look at the numbers for Law & Order: SVU! That’s a full four points more than Jay’s primetime show! I’m so money, right now!

Scrubs doubled its previous Tuesday night audience by airing as the lead-in for the comedies on Wednesday. It would be nice to see how Better Off Ted does in the timeslot.
