The 1989 John Grisham bestseller A Time to Kill is slated to premiere on Washington D.C.’s Arena Stage on May 6, 2011, before moving to Broadway, according to a release from Arena Stage. Tony Award-winner Rupert Holmes will head the production, the first of Grisham’s books to be brought to the stage.

I always thought this was his best book. I hope the characterizations are closer to the book than the movie.
