My sympathy to his mother, the rest of his family and his friends. Whether he currently had drugs in his system, he seems to be a victim of the drugs that he took in the past. People need to realize that prescription drugs are as dangerous as illicit drugs and nobody’s body can withstand so much. Unfortunately, he is not the first or the last to be lost.
why are people talking about conspiracy theories? i honestly don’t think there was some secret plan to either harm him or cover anything up (such as his cause of death). (maybe some people need to learn the definition of the word before they start talking about conspiracies). it says in the article that the coroner contacted his mother/family about the cause of death, and that’s really the only ones who need to know the cause – family! we all know he battled drug addiction, but that’s not what’s important. we’ve lost another great actor, who has done many great things in their time on this planet, way too soon. instead of worrying about his cause of death or substances he’s had troubles with, we all need to remember everything he’s done to entertain us with his talent. maybe pop in ‘the lost boys’, ‘license to drive’ or whatever your favorite corey haim movie is and mourn the loss of someone great who did so much to entertain so many people. but if all your worried about are drug addictions or drug related deaths, then move along to another website, maybe one where someone WANTS or needs to hear from someone like you, someone who could benefit from what you have to say. otherwise, appreciate who corey haim was and what he did to entertain this world. whatever his cause of death, he is going to be missed dearly. my heart goes out to his family and those who knew him best.
Whatever his cause of death only his family needs to know. It is sad and tragic that the world is so fascinated by things like this that they jump to conclusions. I read a few similar things about Brittany Murphy’s death and she wasn’t known to be anything more then what she was. I pray that Corey’s family get the answers and closure that they need. Yes, Corey had his demons but who doesn’t? His were just always put under a microscope and made public.
Blah blah blah Corey Corey Corey. Where were all of you bleeding hearts when that junkie needed you. Oh thats right the puppy cuteness wore off and you all moved on to the next child actor (victim). You all make me want to puke with your phoney sympathy.
really?! how can you assume that anyone wasn’t where they needed to be when they were needed (or tried to be)? and how do you KNOW if anyone had ‘moved on’? and how can you KNOW when sympathy is ‘phoney’? how can you assume such things? i’m sure you’ve heard at some point in your life, “if you don’t have anything nice to say, then say nothing at all”? you should heed that advice. and do you think that just MAYBE people genuinely care? i think it’s something you should look into. caring. it’s a great thing. someone who was loved by so many is no longer with us. and even if there are a lot people who didn’t know him personally, his family and friends certainly did and are going through a very difficult time and i feel so bad for them if they have to read your insensitive words. …and btw- the cuteness never wore off!
AMEN!
this
you are just a jelous b***** that when you die nobody will care like they do about him………..
Lucas is seriously one of my favorite movies! I randomly thought about it the other day, and he died. I’d been thinking about Growing Pains and how I wished I could watch it in the week leading up to Andrew Koenig’s disappearance. I should avoid remembering things apparently.
I guess Corey Haim did a Michael Jackson on Andrew Koenig’s Farrah Fawcett. No one mourned Andrew for very long.
Lost Boys for Life!!!
I do agree with some of the negative comments about “getting off the computer or cell” whatever it is people use nowadays to Google themselves with.
There are other more important issues besides wondering what a person, wether it be a regular person, celebrity etc etc etc did with their life that resulted in them passing.
For real tho.
Some people need to do something with their lives.
Who cares? How can u feel sorry for someone who has the world in the palm of their hands, and takes a big s h it on people by habitually using drugs. Its is own personal choice to abuse drugs, and look where it got him. He doesnt have my sympathy, and never will.
….caused by drug abuse.
Who cares? It’s one less vote for the worthless One-Termer. Good riddance.
Sarah, please go shoot some polar bears or something.
Maybe they are trying to cover up the cause of his death . . . after all, Corey Haim was spotted on the Grassy Knoll . . .
Great Actor?!?! Well, I don’t know about that as I’ve only seen him act as a child and teen. And he was great in Silver Bullet and The Lost Boys. But child actors like that are a dime a dozen. And sadly they go just as fast as well. Look at those twins boys from that Disney show Zack an Cody. Keep an eye on them, they are in the spotlight now….but watch out, their voices are changing as you read this and it may be a matter of time before they are in the headlines for some stupidity (refer to Todd Bridges or Gary Coleman).
Look it is a shame and it’s sad and I feel for the family. But let’s be honest, he was not “Star on the walk of fame” quality as far as acting goes. For if he was, he may have gotten the help he needed and still be in the spotlight today. Look at Drew Barrymore for example. If ever there was a child star that was on the road to ruin, she could have been the poster child, (and the hot one at that!!!). But she has the talent, the “it” factor, and with the talent you’d get the support from the people that feed from that talent. therefore, she got the help she needed and is not only still around, but is an important figure in Hollywood both on screen and off.
It is sad, there are so many other child actors that are going down this path today, and several dozen more that are poised for the same trip.
there should be a place where these former child actors can go, where they can still be important and thrive and get well if needed. Maybe be taught a trade, so they can become productive members of society instead of has-beens trying to fit in again or the brunt of a joke on late night TV, or worse an obituary.
It’s a shame how the Hollywood machine spits these people out once they are finished with the “child” in them.
“Sleep all day. Party all night. Never grow old. Never die” — Lost Boys
After reading all of these comments, I am amazed at how rude people can be. I have heart problems like enlarged heart, leaking valves and fluid build up. I have never taken drugs. I lost someone to withdrawl symptoms. Alcohol, not drugs. They had the same reation as Corey did. It can happen and sometimes the body isn’t strong enough to go through it.
Who cares… Go away!
