Hmm, she’s good in dramatic roles, but I’d much rather see her in a comedy. Can ABC just bring back Samantha Who? already?
There was NO WAY I was going to watch this remake.
UNTIL NOW!
WOOOO HOO! I loves me some Jean Smart.
She was totally robbed of her Emmy on her first year of 24.
This Hawaii Five-O sounds better and better by the minute.
I’m going to give this a chance because of the cast alone, but honestly I’m not sure this show needed a remake.
I adore Jean Smart and will watch anything with her in it.
Also, being that it takes place in Hawaii, hopefully Alex O’Loughlin will be shirtless most of the time.
As well as Daniel Dae Kim, that man has a bangin’ body.
Like bunker, I’ll watch anything with Jean Smart in it, even Hawaii Five-O.
The cast keeps getting better, but it will all depend on the writing. It will also depend on where it is on the schedule.
Dear CBS: Bump The Mentalist to Sundays, pair up Hawaii Five-O with Survivor & CSI – and watch ABC lose what little ground it’s got left. That is all. Love Dave
I’m glad to see that this is going to have a great cast. Isn’t Alex playing Steve’s son?
What I want to know is will McGarrett still drive a black Grand Marquis????
One of the reasons that Hawaii Five-0 was good was the fact they showed how crimes were committed and how they were solved with attention to detail. Is showing how crimes are committed going to be a part of the new program? What about all those scenes of United Airlines flying to Hawaii (so that the cast could get free airline travel)?
I hope Aloha means goodbye in this situation. Just doesn’t seem like a good idea. It’s CBS crime though so I’m already eating my words.
You need to have Alex to come alive and not to be so serious all the, He is wonderful so show it.
Ditto the others: I will watch anything with Jean Smart in it. I’m excited to see her back in a drama! Martha Logan was one of the greatest characters ever on television.
I am SO sorry for the poor casting; the new crew has nothing of the class, refinement, or polish of the original. These people look like roughened street cops. I felt more appropriate casting would have been Thomas Gibson as Steve McGarrett and Eric Close as Dan Williams. I fell passionately, totally, and completely in love with Jack Lord as a teenage girl and that adoration has only increased with age, like a fine wine. I STILL yearn for the warmth, strength, and protection of his arms. I stand in awe of his towering height. I ache for the caress of his tough, the music of his voice in the velvety darkness, and the succulent sweet wine of his kisses. He was the embodiment of perfection, in character, integrity, personal and professional conduct, internal fortitude, and the standards of human values he lived by on a daily basis. He is STILL the yardstick by which I gauge a man’s worthiness. I long to wrap my arms around him and show him what love is all about. He is STILL the substance of dreams and ambitions. He inspired my career as private investigator and, YES, I drive a Mercury. Just call me Lord’s Lady.
I’m going to rape you.
