He blowed up , good…..
Honestly, this was the most boring Oscars I’ve ever seen, and that’s saying something. Poorly produced, poorly directed, lacking energy, momentum, or entertainment value.
Love that Hurt Locker won, and love that James Cameron lost to his ex-wife, twice. I also love that the Oscars didn’t make it a “Cameron-fest”, and recognized that Avatar was visually stunning, while the substance of the movie was lacking.
Sandra Bullock deserved the win, as did Jeff Bridges.
Monique was good- though, I’ll say she is one of the most overly-dramatic people in Hollywood. Everytime she speaks, it’s always something deep and profound in her eye’s, and is just nonsense to everyone else.
Absolutely hated Tyler Perry at the Oscars, and his tired “pimping” of Precious- that story has been done before. Maybe this is just a new spin on it, but it is by no means a new story, and in no way a cultural revelation that we all need to take part in.
Steve Martin was better than Baldwin, and Stiller was pretty funny. Overall, not a bad Oscars (except when they replaced Farrah with the overly “tributed” Michael Jackson. We get it- pop star, loved by many. Do we need to honor him at every single awards show for the rest of the year? Grammy’s, MTV Awards, BET awards, the tribute concerts, etc etc- it’s been done, and respect should have been paid to Farrah)
sad to say that there were no big surprises…. i like a little shake up on my oscar night!
Harry Potter and The half Blood Prince should’ve gotten something!! Seriously, that was the best one yet!
I was watching The Dark Knight recently and realized something; for two years in a row, a villain has won the best supporting actor (Heath Ledger as the Joker, and Christoph Waltz as “The Jew Hunter”. I guess the academy likes great actors being their baddest!
Thanks Roy Robins
I will Never understand how a film that nobody paid to see can possibly be the BEST Picture of the year?? I understand that just because a film takes in a 100 million or two it doesnt automatically qualify for any awards but when a Picture has been seen by only 10 million dollars (or Less?) worth of people HOW can that be the Best of ANY thing? That shows that No Body wanted to see it & that No Body Told Any One else TO Go see it either? With No word of mouth I fail to see the logic of how you be the Best Any Thing ?
Just watched Julie and Julia again. The fact that Meryl Streep lost the Oscar to Sandra Bullock was the worst over-sight ever….I love Sandra but come on PULEEZE…..Blind side was a cute movie at best…but to actually beat out Meryl Streep was NOT right. Not a chance….So mad when the Oscars get it wrong , which happened again this year with Avatar not getting best movie …AAAHHH!!!!!AND bring back Billy Crystal for pete sake…..
My brother suggested I may like this web site. He used to be entirely right. This publish actually made my day. You cann’t believe just how much time I had spent for this information! Thanks!
