you’re in prayers Keith …a consummate artist
One of the best Mc’s ever to touch a microphone. Hope you make it through Bald Head Slick!
Oh this is sad. Gang Starr is one of my favorite hip hop artists ever. DJ Premier is the greatest ever and Guru, such a skilled MC. I hope for the best.
Guru had the coolest raps on Gang Starr’s songs. That 1990 album was superb, but they topped it with that classic 1992 album. And his partner DJ Premier made some hot beats for the duo as well as other rap and R&B artists. I hope that his surgery goes successful.
Oh no! Guru, you are most definitely in my prayers!
Some of the best times of my life were spent with Gang Starr playing in the background somewhere. I will pray for a speedy recovery, damn….

The hip-hop community needs are the prayers they can get.
To my Homie Keith Elam…Get Better fast and hit us with another Gangstarr Hit!
I MUST SAY I TRULY MISS THE 90′S AND ITS SO SAD TO SEE OUR 90′S ICONS SICK AND DYING THE GURU WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST OF ALL TIMES I PRAY THAT HES OKAY
just listened 2 some guru. the man is a lyrical genius!
My thoughts and prayers are with Guru, Gangstarr and their family. When I heard Gangstarr broke up back in 08′ I couldn’t believe that Brooklyn’s finest hip-hop duo went separate ways. Truly, if it wasn’t for Nas I probably wouldn’t even listen to rap anymore. Guru and Premier’s contribution to East Coast Hip-Hop is as large as NWA to the West Coast. Truly one of the best ever. Brooklyn stand-up always…
I have no idea who this guy is, but I hope he’s okay.
Please get better. Guru is my favorite MC of all-time. If you don’t know him check out classic Gang Starr, or his Jazzmatazz series. You are in my prayers.
