Jim Carrey is now a grandfather, according to People. Jane Carrey, 22, and husband Alex Santana welcomed first child Jackson Riley Santana at 12:28 a.m. Friday, in L.A. Grandpa Jim tweeted the blessed event yesterday, posting a picture of Jackson and saying, “This is what 7lbs.11oz. of California dynomite [sic] looks like!” In July, he told People, “Jane is going to be a great mom.” Carrey’s spokeswoman tells EW.com the actor has no immediate plans to release a statement or do interviews, and that any future statements from him will be made via his Twitter account.

I don’t see the point of mentioning his age in the headline. Why not just say, “Jim Carrey becomes a grandfather,” and leave it at that? It’s not like 47 (or 48, as the case may be) is that big of a deal. I could understand mentioning his age in the headline if he was in his early to mid thirties.

A couple of exmaples..Me and my ex boyfriend starting dating on the 27th, and broke up on the 27th, my current boyfriends birthday is on the 27th, I had a bad car accident on the 27th, the interview for the job I nailed, was on the 27th, the day I got my beloved pet boa, was on the 27th. And those are just the main things. It shows up everyday in at least a small way.Another interesting fact, 3 is the prime factor of 27. My birthday is March 3.
