Walter Koenig, father of Andrew Koenig, the Growing Pains actor who recently went missing, appeared on Today this morning in his first network interview, saying his son’s mysterious disappearance has been “very tough.” The 41-year-old actor was reported as missing, after a trip to Vancouver over the weekend, but he hasn’t been seen since Feb. 14. Walter Koenig, who starred as Chekov in the original Star Trek, acknowledged that Andrew was depressed and said that he hoped he hasn’t harmed himself, as has been speculated. “I don’t want to think that way. I’m trying very hard not to think that way.”
