ESPN has a STRICT policy against its talent saying anything negative about other ESPN talent. I just hope this doesn’t lead to Tony leaving PTI. I would stop watching.

Agreed. It’s bad enough when he’s out for a day or two and they have some bonehead fill in. He makes that show. Wilbon and the others add little.

      • Scott

I beg to differ. Michael Wilbon adds a lot. He’s a passionate straight man to Tony’s clowning. They’ve been great together ever since they started the show together. It wasn’t Tony and a series of on-air personalities. It’s Wilbon and Tony. They both have contributed greatly to the shows success. Tony may be funnier but Wilbon’s very insightful.

I like both of them. They are great together. Their chemistry makes the show what it is. When it’s one of them and somebody else the show loses something. And when they are both out I can’t switch the channel quick enough.

Wilbon and Kornheiser are great together. It’s that idiot with the beard who writes for the Miami paper who adds nothing. He says his opinion, Wilbon disagrees with him, and then Beard just says “You’re right” and changes his opinion. Plus, he knows nothing about hockey, soccer or basketball, making him a total idiot in my book.

Nobody says nothing about Mike Golic doing weight loss commercials and than doing pizza commercials? lol

I am sure that the men have a dress code standard they have to stick to, so why should the women be any differant. The men have to be business like with sport coats and the woman look like they can wear almost anything. I guess sexy dress = viewer ratings. What a shame.

Berman should be fodder for being made fun of because he does commericials for Nutrisystem AND Applebees!

  • Matt

And ESPN decided to put Hannah on their Sunday morning show, The Sports Reporters. She was absolutely awful!!!!!

tony needs to look in his own town theirs women dresses the same way.hannah and chris doesn’t say anything about him, she dresses fine she is an attractive women and chris looks better since he lost weight.

It IS what Tony does, but he often “runs his yap” regardless of how dumb it is. Maybe he’ll choose his words more carefully in the future.

ESPN has been dolling up their weekend female anchors recently. Tony shouldn’t have said this on air, but someone needs to tell ESPN to stop pushing the sex appeal on these anchors.

  • Scott

Tony’s always been a bit of a bigmouth at ESPN. He and his PTI partner, Michael Wilbon have routinely run afoul of ESPN sensibilities. Heck they were both suspended for more than thirty days for saying stuff that the network didn’t like. So this is no surprise and no big deal.

  • Rick

Who else has a hard time with female vocals giving pro sports news? (tend to tune them out)

  • robert

sexy brings ratings up and it has brought espn’s ratings up.

he does have a right to his own personal opinion, but that doesn’t give him the right to criticize other people on the air like that. that comment had nothing to do with his job duties.
on top of that, he has no right to talk. i’ve seen pictures of this man, he’s fugly and yet Hannah Storm doesn’t need to go on the air and say that about him.

    • robert

      i agree 100%

Just so everyone knows the TRUE facts, he made the comments on Thursday morning. He hosted PTI that night. He apologized Thursday night personally to Hannah Storm (at least he said he did) and did his Froday radio show, as well as host PTI Friday night. Why did it take so long for ESPN to do anything? I love EW, but they always screw up the facts! By the way, he is still hosting his radio show (an ESPN affiliate), so how bad was the comment?

  • Kelin

ESPN was correct to suspend Tony who I happen to think is very entertaining. He shouldn’t roasted his coworker like he did on TV in these overly politically correct days we live in and yes was what he said was a little mean. I hope they don’t force him to do one of those fake apologiess like Tiger had to do. Having said all that though, I’d like to add that she should consider eating more often; way too skinny on top choosing unflattering attire for the day. Get her a wardrobe consultant please and some biscuits and gravy.

    • Neal

Very well put. Except you didn’t go far enough: her outfit was horrid. And she can’t keep walking past the kitchen. Go in there and eat, you anorexic!!!

  • kevin berezansky

I hope Tony Kornheiser is reading these comments. Seems almost everyone agrees that Hannah Storm is too self-absorbed to realise that no one, men and women, wants to see her in those outfits. I’m not a heavy sport viewer but I most admit I always get a good laugh when Hannah Storm pops up on the screen when I’m flipping through the channels. There have been times she’s dressed so inappropriately that I stop flipping the channels and laugh so much it makes me cry. Good call Tony.

so sad it took an idiot like tony but truth hurts grow up ,dress and act your age, thats the bottom line
