Sunday night’s season four finale of E!’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians, in which Kourtney gave birth to a baby boy, drew a record 4.8 million viewers for the network, its biggest audience ever. Kardashians has become the most-watched series in the network’s history, averaging 3.7 million viewers this past season.

People can keept talking the talk, but I gotta admit this has been the Kardashian best season to date. The pregnancy, the wedding, any “plotline” was interesting.
Btw, I like to think that they’re just the same people when the cameras are off, they’re just genuine.
Did it ever occur to you that by watching these idiots you are putting money into their coffers. Why don’t you try being the star of your own life instead of living vicariously through these vacuous narcissists?

Furthermore, I think judgments can certainly be made about the people who sit and soak up this drivel all day long, i.e. I doubt (with few exceptions) that they’re picking up Ben Franklin’s biography or solving the NTTimes Crossword when they turn off the tube.

I would be really surprised if those posters who call the Kardashians vapid and vacuous actually watch the show. Sure, they talk Valley, but they are intelligent, hard working women who were obviously well raised. I admit to the same reservations about the show before I watched it, but after watching a couple of episodes, I have a lot of respect for them.

Good for you! I agree you don’t have to be an idiot to find this type of show entertaining once and awhile! I am a college professor and I watched it and I know about 4 more professors at my university that watch this as well. Sometimes light humor is relaxing.

Really???? In all the years E! has been on the air this is the first time they have topped 4.8 million viewers. R u sure? I find this hard to believe as ratings for television shows in general have been going down. So in the nineties E! never got this many ratings. This is sad even for a cable network as entertaining as E!
With the amount of times E! reruns all their shows i can see that actually. Apparently, this was must see TV…and no ice skating was on the Olympics or this would have done half the audience.
Seems like Chelsea Handler would pull numbers like this once in awhile…guess not.
I’m not surprised by this and congrats to the show. It’s actually really entertaining; it’s almost like you think you’re watching a crazy scripted drama like Gossip Girl or Greys, but it just happens to be “reality” TV. That’s how fun their storylines get.
I just got hooked on the show this season! It’s entertaining, everything in life does not have to be so deep people! And yes I do have a life BTW.
