Professional ballroom dancer and So You Think You Can Dance alum Lacey Schwimmer will not dance in season 10 of Dancing With the Stars, Schwimmer confirmed via Twitter. Schwimmer joined the cast in 2008 and has partnered Lance Bass, Steve-O, and Mark Dacascos. ABC will officially announce the Dancing With the Stars cast on Monday, March 1, during the Bachelor: On the Wings of Love season finale. Season 10 debuts Monday, March 22.

Wonder why? She is fun to watch.
The judges, Len in particular, seemed to have a hate on for Lacey. No matter what she did she couldn’t win for losing. It was like they thought less of her because she came up through “So You Think You Can Dance”, they never took her as seriously or viewed her in an equally professional light as they did some of the other classically trained dancers. It’s too bad. I thought she brought a fresh, youthful exhuberance to the show. She’ll be missed.
Actually she is classically trained. She was (is?) a latin and West Coast Swing professional.

I think Len has a hate-on for all the SYTYCD dancers. He is always harsh to Lacey and Chelsie (who had questionably skilled partners..so it was hard to prove the bias). However, he was also extremely harsh to Dimitri Chaplin (who was partnered to Mya) and clearly never deserved the kind of criticism he had to endure.
Will not miss her. Give other SYTYCD alums a chance (Anya, Ashleigh, Janette) instead.
Thank goodness. Could not stand Schwimmer.
Lacey was my favorite. She is fun, full of energy, almost always comes up with something exciting – but yeah, I think the risks and thinking out of the box that Lacey and Dimitri do ultimately gets under the skin of Len.
I am truly saddened to hear this. Lacey Schwimmer is one of the most versatile dancers the show had. She was routinely in the group dances showcasing her hiphop, jazz, lyrical, modern, ballet, and of course ballroom dance training. She was an asset to the show and offered youthful exuberance the show needed. I hope she has gone on to do bigger and better things but I will truly miss her. She created some fantastic numbers.
I’m so sad about this! She was so much fun to watch – great dancing and great looking! I hope she has a fantastic project lined up. Or perhaps we’ll see her in Season 11…
Don’t like Lacey. She thinks the show is all about her. Get a real pro to replace her. So glad we don’t have to see her mugging for the camera every chance she gets. Hope she never comes back to DWTS.

I loved Lacey. she was my favorite. I really don’t think I will watch. I get tired of seeing Cheryl Burke all the time.
