Roman Polanski wins best director at Berlin

Director Roman Polanski won best director honors at the Berlin International Film Festival for his new film The Ghost Writer, starring Pierce Brosnan. Polanski was unable to attend the ceremony because he remains under house arrest in Switzerland pending extradition stemming from a 1977 U.S. conviction for having sex with a minor.

What a despicable human being. But I suppose that shouldn’t matter, if he did the best directorial job then that’s all that should matter.

U morons, they honor artistic merit and Mr Polanski is a true artist. Give him a break at least artistically speaking. Truly a wonderful filmmaker!
