Variety reports that A-Team director Joe Carnahan and his star Bradley Cooper will reteam for a thriller called The Grey, about plane crash survivors who are being hunted by wolves.

What the hell happened to Joe Carnahan? I do not dislike him working with Cooper, but how do you go from NARC to this? SMOKING ACES was terrible, but I thought we were getting a version of Mark Bowden’s KILLING PABLO, about the hunt for Pablo Escobar, from this guy at some point and it was going to star Christian Bale and Chris Pine as U.S. soldiers in on the manhunt? Where’d that go?
