Good news for Fox: In Week 2 of the time slot switcheroo for American Idol and Human Target, Hollywood Week with Ellen DeGeneres saw the 9 p.m. Idol increase its audience by roughly 4 million viewers from last Wednesday, while Human Target grew by about 1 million to claim the 8 p.m. hour in its first head-to-head with CBS’ The New Adventures of Old Christine and Gary Unmarried. (It’s still, however, about 1 million shy of its last airing at 9 p.m.) NBC should be happy (or sad?) knowing that a repeat of Law & Order: SVU outperformed The Jay Leno Show in the 10 p.m. slot. The CW continued to score a nice turnout for encore episodes of Life Unexpected.

Hah, that is pretty funny that an SVU rerun beat Jay Leno’s ratings. Glad to see Modern Family still going strong. Last night’s episode was one of its funniest.
first!!!!
Amazing to me and pleasant as wel, that Modern Family could pull a 10.1 against the other 2 powerhouses AI and Criminal Minds
wow butchered the typing in my excitement of being first.
Because we all know how important it is to be the initial idiot to write “first!!!!” Congrats.
Especially when you’re not.
Hey guys, Why don’t you go F * * * yourselves. As long as we are going to insult each other would you like my address so we can have a face to face discussion or do you just want to sit back and snipe at people from afar like the cowrdly pansies that you are?
Not to beat a dead horse, but why doesn’t ABC put ‘Better Off Ted’ on at 8pm Wednesday? They put that show on in so many timeslots no one can find it.
It’s one thing to be a freshman series and score a big rating against weak competition and repeats. But, when you’re a first year series and you pull +10 million viewers against American Idol and Criminal Minds, you’re BADA$$!!! Congrats to Modern Family. I’ve never seen a sitcom this funny. And there may never be an equivalent. The comedic genius here is amazing. So hysterical, so much heart, and so clever without having to resort to a laugh track and “T & A” one-liners every week. Still, the most uncanny thing for me is that it gets better and better each week. Every week me and my girl look at each other at the end of an episode and say, “This was the best one yet.” And this week with the role playing, and the valentine’s dates for each family were a freaking riot!!!
And ABC must be tickled at the more important number- demos. A 3.0 for The Middle and a HUGE 4.2 for Modern Family and a still solid 2.8 for Cougartown. Love all three!
