My heart goes out to him. I know the pain of losing a parent. Famous or otherwise, the pain is still the same.

    • Moe

This is disturbing. WHY THE HELL WOULD POST THIS UP. SHAME ON YOU EW…SHAME!

      • wakeforce

Why did he tweet this? It’s public record, so STFU!

  • Celia

This is really sad! Why didn’t someone help him??

    • kissyface

      Was he a pickle smoocher?

  • Suzette Butler

Poor Alexander, how distressed he must have been. a death affects us all so differently. What a great loss of a fashion genius. He is with his beloved MUM

    • amac

Uh, don’t think he’s in the same place…committing suicide!!

      • tryagain

It’s not your place at all to say where anybody goes upon dying. I hope with all my might that he has been reunited with his mom and believe wholeheartedly that the God i’m familar with put him exactly there.

      • Doodle-Hopper

Even the Catholic church has come out and said people who commit suicide have a mental illness and are not condemned to hell.
Get off of your holier-than-thou high horse.

      • LR

        you’re incredibly ignorant

      • Jon

        So hateful.

      • Leigh

        AMAC, in two words:

        ZEALOT DOUCHERY!

  • Victor Eloy

this is so tragic, cos easily anyone can note how mush suffering he must have been goin’ thru. to end a brilliant life like this. It’s simply sad, this could happen to anyone, why no one around him realized how down he was going? Rest in Peace Alexander, u r with ur mom now.

    • Palin

No, he is dead – his mom has nothing to do with anything. How do you know he’d even want to spend eternity with her? Good lord – I am so sick of people projecting their crap onto other people. He’s dead and you’re like, oh well, at least your with your mom now – like you even know.

      • lil

        nice nickname. suits your spirit.

      • iagree

        Well said. My exact sentiments.

  • David

    Crap spelling in his tweets.

    • Heather

yes, that is the most tragic part of this… the spelling….. douchebag.

      • Diggity

Yeah man, he’s British for crying out loud!

      • Jean Genie

I’m sure he could’ve cared less about the spelling. The man was in pain … get back to your shallow lives, haters.

  • Anna

In an interview with the Guardian he said his greatest fear was dying before his mother. At least they’re together again now.

  • Drew Ridama

All this rubbish about ‘being with his mother now’… are you three years old?
He’s not, he’s dead, like his mother, he’s in the ground.
Ok, so children need a made up story to cope with the pain of death, but when you’re an adult it’s time to grow up.

    • Aure

how rude are you to put down others for having a different belief system than you

    • Jenni

Oh, Ridama, no. It’s not a child’s story, it’s a set of religious beliefs. God’s not just for three year olds. When you’re an adult it’s time to learn to accept and respect other people. Give it a shot.

  • RK

    Who?

  • ibivi

Mr McQueen needed more time to deal with the death of his mother. He is obviously distressed and looking for a way to deal with it. A terrible time and a terrible decision. Gone too soon.

  • yabbi yum

he did what is contrary to what his mother did -she gave him life, he took his life. were she alive, she would definitely not approve of his suicide. she gave him life so he could contribute to our world in a productive manner. how twisted his logic. depression can do that to you. so sad.

  • Dorothy

He was sensitive and creative they see and feel differently, that kind of loss was overwhelming to him

  • Tim

    RIP

  • RK

Even more tragic: Frisbee inventor Fred Morrison dies at 90

    • walter

      Weird coincidence.

    • mtraptor

Rule of threes! Someone check on Betty White.

Seriously though, sucks about Alexander McQueen.

      • Tyra

You know you were wrong for posting that about Betty, and I know I’m wrong for laughing! It was a hilarious comment!

      • W

How strange is it now that 3 famous people has committed suicide (granted one is famous by association)?

    • RK

Yeah, but that’s a rule for 3 famous people.

      • mtraptor

It was a 30 Rock reference.

  • Jane

Why are people just presuming he’s with his mother. I’d say he might be in hell, but I don’t think any afterlife exists. Just nice bedtime stories to make us feel better about death.

    • Lucy

      That’s incredibly sad!

  • Jean Genie

My heart breaks for this man. I hope he & his mum have found peace.
