Michael Jackson’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, 57, was charged today with involuntary manslaughter for allegedly giving Jackson lethal levels of the hospital-strength anesthetic propofol while treating him for insomnia, according to People. A court hearing is set for this afternoon, and Murray, who has denied any wrongdoing, is expected to voluntarily turn himself in, enter a not-guilty plea, and post bail. The L.A. County D.A.’s office filed the charge, which was based on the county coroner’s finding that found an overdose of the anesthetic in Jackson before his June 25 death. The penalty against Murray can range from probation to four years in prison, a less severe sentence than if prosecutors had charged him with second-degree murder.

I don’t believe that Dr. Murray had any malicious intent, but if that were my father who had been drugged with propofol for 6 weeks and left alone while the doctor chit-chatted on his cell phone, I’d be outraged that at most he’d be getting 4 years in jail. So outraged it would take everything in me to prevent myself from strangling him with my bare hands.
MJ’s doctor needed to deny giving MJ the propofol that the pop star demanded. Any ethical and moral doctor would have done that. MJ’s doctor was in it for the $. Therefore, he must now pay the consequences…I think he deserves some jail time if found guilty of involuntary manslaughter. Doctors with dollar signs in their eyes DO NOT deserve to walk away scott free. As for MJ, he’s 50% responsible for his own death. That’s all I’m saying.
50%? I’d say more than that. He was a hypocondriact and just basically paid people off. If it hadn’t been this Dr than it would have been another. And people say he would have made it through those concerts – pulease!!!! He would have ended up calling off the majority of them.
Whether Michael was a hypochondriac, or paid people off, or whatever, doesn’t make any difference as far as Murray is concerned. This so called “health-care-professional” was an idiot and was easily bought. He now claims he was Michael’s friend and has been visiting Michael’s tomb. His FRIEND!?! What’s the old saying…with friends like that, who needs enemies!!!!! You don’t give your “friend” dangerous drugs just because the money is good!! I wonder if he’ll try to write a book about all this when he comes out of jail! Disgraceful!!!
