Except for the opening of the movie, i didn’t like up. Just my opinion.
I agree about the opening being good. The rest was fine but hardly revolutionary or thought-provoking. Was it a good family film? Sure. Did it have good animation? Sure. Was it up to the hype? No.
Why is everyone hating on Up? There is more to it than just the opening. (Though, the opening is AMAZING)
The first time I saw it did not do much for me, the second time that I saw it with my family, I fell in love with it. My mom says that it took her to her childhood and what she used to feel when she would watch an animated movie…..it was very sweet.
Monsters vs. Aliens doesn’t deserve to win any awards. Even technical awards. Most disappointing movie I saw all last year.
go Up!
WHAT ABOUT PONYO?!?! grrr snub city over here
All i have to say is that compared to any other animated movie “UP” is much better in so many ways, including the script and story. It more though provoking and revolutionary compared to any animated movie i watched… Up is animation at its best
Up deserves it, the only animated film that came even close in 2009 was Mr.Fox and it wasn’t all that close really.
love UP! CORALINE WAS ALSO VERY GOOD
I heard Coraline won 5 awards (according to Neil Gaiman’s blog), but I was hoping this article would be able to expand upon the winners instead of just staing who won best picture and the number of awards per studio. :-\
obviously, the best animation in entertainment is spongebob… should win every award…
Pixar Filmas are cinemtaic gold and future classics… Dreamworks movies are pure pop trash!!!
Overall movie is good but the story is not revolutionary as compare to previous pixar films…
