According to CNN, Dr. Conrad Murray, the physician currently facing charges related to Michael Jackson’s death last June, is negotiating with prosecutors on plans to surrender to law enforcement in Los Angeles. He will reportedly be arraigned at an L.A. courthouse tomorrow afternoon.
“We are presently negotiating with the district attorney’s office the surrender of Dr. Murray,” Conrad’s attorney Ed Chernoff said in a statement posted Thursday on his website. “The specifics have not yet been agreed to and when the agreement is complete we will report further on this Web site.”
Jackson’s death has been ruled a homicide by the L.A. County coroner, due to a lethal combination of drugs, primarily propofol and lorazepam, administered to the insomniac star by Conrad as a sleep aid.

“THEY OUGHT TO JUST GO GET HIM AND HAUL HIS ASS IN.” HE SHOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN IN JAIL EVEN THOUGH I WAS NOT A MICHAEL JACKSON FAN.
He’s what?! If it had been me who allegedly anesthetized a pop star to death, they would’ve come and kicked my door in a long time ago. Just shows there a different definition of justice if you’re rich and/or famous.
what is there to negotiate !
he is “innocent” until proven guilty. Why does his team hesitate ?
No further comments are needed from anyone. John Moody and Spacely Sprocket have said it all!
actually, dizzydumbo technically said it all.
you are charged. you plead innocent or guilty.
what is there to negotiate?
It’s a sad state of affairs in this world when the doctor is blamed for Jacko’s drug addiction. please… if this doctor had not given Mr. Jackson what he wanted, then someone else would have. Doctor Murray is just the last in a long line of docotors that gave him what he wanted.
i’m pretty sure if you believe this doctor “Killed” MJ, then you most likely believe that OJ was innocent as well…
it’s a shame
wake up people
You’re right, Dr. Murray is NOT responsible for Michael’s drug addiction, but he IS responsible for giving him a drug that shouldn’t be given outside of a hospital setting for a condition, insomnia, that this drug is not indicated for, without adequate back-up equipment if that sedated patient were to go into distress! These are facts from the publically available police report. Don’t forget, he admitted to stepping away from his sedated patient, for a few minutes, who eventually went into cardiac arrest, without being able to monitor his patients condition. A patient on Propofol can NOT be left unattended…at all! This means NO bathroom breaks! This IS Mr. Murray’s responsibility and he clearly showed GROSS negligence in his actions!! Also, it makes no difference what other doctors also gave MJ this medicine. Mr. Murray, who I can’t refer to as a doctor anymore, was singularly responsible for saying NO to his patient when asked to administer a dangerous drug. Once Murray said yes to that question, he stopped being someone of integrity and became someone that would do his patients bidding for money. THAT’s where the shame is!!! Anyway, hopefully justice can be done so that the family can move on.
yeah but docters are supposed to help people not give them drugs to kill them.
yeah but docters are supposed help people not give them drugs that will kill them DUMMY
I really don’t understand why this man has not be arrested and charged yet? It must be very difficult for his family. I have they have closure soon.
Seems like some have already convicted the innocent until proven guilty doctor. My guess is that none of us were privy to any info about this so our opinions are without merit. MJ is dead. Get on with your own life.
It’s about time! Can someone explain to me how it’s okay for a doctor to get away with this with only manslaughter, when he knew exactly what he was doing, and exactly what he should have been doing. I feel the charge should be second or third degree murder. He killed Michael, a son, a brother and a father, and I don’t care if he’s a doctor or not. He’s a murdered, plain and simple. I wonder how many people in this country realize how doctors dish out (and sell on the streets) drugs in exchange for money. You’d be shocked!
You are absolutely right. think of how your family would feel if your doctor or the person being paid to provide you with a service walked out while you were on an iv drip with a chemical that is known to cause problems and you die. The feelings people have about this issue are no different than how we would feel about one of our own family members. He should not have done it, though it is not against the law, but since he did, he was the person being paid to be responsible. It is medical neglect, manslaughter.
Totally agree!
You people who think is not guilty are the same type. Who think dealing drugs is fine. They will buy it from someone else. He needs to be held accountable for his actions.
I AGREE BEFORE HE KILLS SOMEONE ELSE HOW MUCH MONEY IS ENOUGH I MEAN HE IS A DOCTER SO IM SURE HE HAS PLENTY OF MONEY I LOVED MJ HE LOST HIS LIFE BECAUSE HIS DOCTER LOVED THE MONEY HE WAS GIVING HIM GREED IS JUST AS UGLY AS JELOUSY.
before “they” want send m.j to jail….today ,after his death!,they want send his last companion to jail…why?!!
I want to know what the timeline was in regards to MJ’s death. Reporters have stated that MJ died in the morning yet Dr Murray didn’t call 911 until the afternoon! Dr Murray should, without a doubt, be charged with MURDER! Plus, if he waited to call, and in the meantime, had people removing objects (Propofol) from his storage place-isn’t that a coverup as well? I hope LAPD gets this case right because they didn’t do a very good job at the beginning-leaving his house wide open instead of locking it down then waiting days-weeks before getting search warrants for Murray’s offices. Murray better not get away with this as well as all the other doctors!!!!
What is going on with our country these days when a doctor kills someone and is able to negotiate his arrest? Maybe the commanding officers in this case be invstigated for not doing their jobs in arresting a suspected murderer?
It’s all about money. Apparently it is cheaper to negotiate a surrender deal than to officially arrest him. L.A., like so many places, has a great deal of debt and has to find anyway it can to cut corners. I’m not saying it’s right or trying to make excuses for anyone. It’s just the way it is right now.
Also, Mr. Murray has not been shown to be a flight risk, so there didn’t seem to be a sense of urgency.
BECAUSE ITS ALWAYS ABOUT MONEY IT REALLY SAD THE COP ARE JUST CURRUPT .IF IT HAD BEEN A REGULAR CITIZEN THEY WOULD LOKED HIM UP AND THROWN THE KEYS AWAY FROM DAY ONE SO SAD
