ABC has confirmed that the Lost series finale date will be Sunday, May 23 from 9-11 p.m. ET (Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof teased the news on Jimmy Kimmel last night). ABC also noted that a recap special will run 8-9 p.m. ET.

Couldn’t they have stretched it out for 3 days? Tuesday 8-11pm recap. Wednesday 8-11pm finale (Part 1). Thursday 8-11pm finale (Part 2). Oh well.
No. Some of us have jobs and don’t have the time to sit around for three straight days watching television. Wrapping it all up in one night is perfect.

This is good, because it means that it won’t have to go up against American Idol for its series finale. It should basically have the entire night to itself. Smart move, ABC, smart move.

I for one will not get confused and its cool they already set a date, May 23rd will be here before you know it, folks. Just remember that its Sunday not Tuesday, I’m guessing they did this so they wouldn’t be on the same night as the IDOL season finale part one. Who thinks I could be right? As a fan of both shows, its cool I won’t have to flip the channels.

It’s not fate. You’re forgetting the millions of Lost fans out there that don’t have May 23 as their birthdays. I guess they just aren’t candidates.
Has anyone had the thought that both time lines are the same time line since the crash was in 2004 and we are seeing them in 2007 on the island again so maybe after they land in LA they somehow all end up back on the island due to other circumstances and we are just watching the beginning and the ending of the same time line at the same time.
i dont watch lost…but wasnt that the day of desperate housewives season finale..which i do watch.
