American Idol hopeful Michael “Big Mike” Lynche has reportedly been cut from the show after his father violated a confidentiality agreement, People reports. Lynche’s father reportedly told his hometown paper, Florida’s St. Petersburg Times, that Lynche had been chosen as one of the top 24 contestants — information which was required to be kept secret until the episode in question aired.

Maybe you should include a photo because I have no idea who you are talking about.

EXACTLY, djm! I was thinking the same thing.
click the “People reports” link… his pic is there….
What part of “keep your mouth shut” don’t people understand?
Guess Daddy spoke too soon! HA!
His transgression appears to be telling his dad, not speaking to the press himself. AI often shows the contestants phoning their parents with the good news so the show obviously has no rule against telling your parents.
Making it to Hollywood week is not a secret, but making the Top 24 is supposed to be.
Dumb and dumber:
This story and the father.
Obviously Dad blew it, but I have to say, I feel bad for the contestant. Can you imagine getting that far and then bigmouth Dad gets you kicked off? Brutal.
I would strangle my family. And cry. Hopefully this doesn’t mean he can’t try out again, though. Since America didn’t get a chance to vote on him.
I feel horrible for the dad. He was just so excited and proud, and now he’s possibly destroyed his son’s hopes at fame/a big career/his dream. The man must feel so terrible. That’s what makes me saddest – seems like it would be far worse to be the reason your own son can’t try to make his dream come true, than to be the one whose dreams won’t come true.
Too bad, so sad. The producers are desperate to keep the top 24 a secret and violators MUST BE PUNISHED
callin’ all yours, its a sabotage.
if you’re going to quote from a song, at least get the lyrics right.
I didn’t even realize that’s what he was quoting. Ha, yeah, way off.
“I’m Tellin’ Y’all It’s Sabotage”
Fix’d that for ya.
WRONG!
It will be interesting to see who replaces him in the top 24, how they handle that (whether they actually address it on air), and how far that person advances.
Ozzie Smith’s son
People’s site has a picture.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Kim if you didn’t care then why did you comment? Idiot!
Second
