According to People, Survivor: Palau contestant Jennifer Lyon died in her Oregon home Tuesday night at age 37. The reality star, who appeared on the series’ 2005 installment, was diagnosed with stage-three breast cancer soon after the show ended and chose a radical bilateral mastectomy, followed by chemotherapy and tamoxifen, a drug used to prevent recurrence of the disease. Lyon was an ardent breast cancer prevention supporter and hosted many events to raise money for research.

I love Survivor, and Jenn was a great contestant. I really admired her for showing up for the reunion when she obviously wasn’t 100%. My heart goes out to her family.
I don’t recall her so that must have been when I stopped watching Survivor. Such sad news. So young
Very sad – she was my age
rest in peace, Jenn.
RIP. i remember this girl, very sad loss indeed.
Such a lovely woman…RIP Jennifer
Very sad. She was a good player and a pretty nice person on the game show. Glad her pain is over.
will miss her so sad
Jenn was one of the most beautiful people to ever play what is often a very ugly game. She proved what a true Survivor is, and she will be missed.
Would it have too much trouble to put up a picture. Every other article on Survivor finds a way to stick Boston Rob’s homely mug on it, you’d think since this is about one person, you could spare a pic. Course you’d probably find one of ther standing next to…oh, never mind.
while i did not survivor, i did catch her on the news during the holidays. she and her boyfriend ran a xmas tree lot in los angeles, and the proceeds went to a breast cancer foundation. she would work at that lot every single day, and although you could tell she was fighting to stay positive, she was a ray of light. she was beautiful and extremely inspiring. my thoughts and prayers go out to her family and her boyfriend. r.i.p
did not watch survivor i meant. typo in the first sentence, sorry.
Farewell. Peace be with her now and forever.
Rest in peace, Jenn.
My thoughts and prayers are with her family and many friends. She will always be a beautiful woman inside and out. Now she s sharng her beauty wth heaven
That’s terrible. I hope the producers will dedicate an episode or at least mention her in the credits/finale. I had no idea she had cancer. Most, if not all the focus was on Ethan. And she was so young too.
RIP.
So sad to hear. M
