I have loved all his books and always looked forward to the next one. He will be sorely missed by me.
What a sad day.
So sad. What an amazing author. Spenser, Hawk, Susan, Chief Stone. Robert B Parker was a treasure.
What a loss! He will be missed. My prayers go out to his family. What a wonderful writer. He’s given me hours of laughter and enjoyment.
My sympathy to Joan and sons. My husband died a year ago and life is never the same. We enjoyed all of the Parker books and felt like he was our friend. Best wishes to all of you.
THERE WILL NEVER BE A FINER WRITER OF MYSTERIES FOR ME THAN ROBERT B. PARKER. HIS BOOKS WILL BE REPUBLISHED FOR A LONG,LONG TIME.
This author will be sorely missed. Parker’s character comes across as decent, brave and uplifting. His passing is a true loss.
My prayers and thoughts are with the family of Mr. Parker. I’m so sorry for your loss. I loved his books. I imagine him as someone who was thoughtful, intelligent and loyal. He will live on in his works and through his family. Take care of each other.
I read every book Mr. Parker wrote. My favorite were his Spencer novels, loved Hawk. Pearl was always on his book jackets. I noticed on his last book cover, “The Professionals”, Pearl was missing. Did something happen to her too?
I treat myself to a hardback Spencer book every year before xmas. I was in Borders (Sat) and flipped to the back cover. DEAD! Since January and I hadn’t known. I burst into tears! My condolences to Joan and his family, he was a hero.
