CBS topped the ratings Monday, led by the evening’s top two shows: Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory. Fox came in second with night two of 24’s four-hour season opener, which peaked at 9 p.m. with 11.5 million viewers. ABC finished third, with another emotional installment of The Bachelor, which built its audience over 120 minutes, maxing out at 11.4 million viewers in the last half hour. NBC finished fourth, with Heroes doing the kind of numbers that would only make it a hit on The CW. The CW, meanwhile, debuted the drama, Life Unexpected, to 2.7 million viewers. Its crowd grew over the course of the hour — a nice sign for any new series.

I see “Chuck” took a bit of a tumble, but I expected that with “24″ coming back. Hopefully it can remain in the 6 million viewer range. Last night’s episode was hilarious.
Heroes reached a series low last night in the 18-49 demos with a 1.8, there’s no way it’s seeing a 5th season
Considering 24 is back and was against Chuck last night, I would say those ratings are pretty good. How the heck can NBC even consider renewing Heroes? Chuck should be renewed right away!
i dont know how NBC is letting Tim Kring pitch his season 5 plan for the show. ratings wise, heores has flopped tremendously.
YAY! JAck Bauer.
THEY ALL KEEP MAKING CHUCK LOOK BETTER.SUCK IT JAY! SUCK IT HEROES!
3.9 for Heroes and NBC kept it instead of Trama, are they kidding? No wonder they are in the toilet.
I dont believe they have officially kept Heroes yet. However, with 5 primetime slots open due to Leno probably moving Heroes may actually survive.
The show is so bad…i can’t believe i keep forcing myself to watch it days later on my TiVo! I was thinking this might be the last 4 episodes…but now NBC is hinting they may renew it. That might be it for me! (3 years too late, I know!)
LOVE that Castle is staying strong!
If any of you actually watched Heroes last night, it was an amazing episode, and I will continue to hope they will give it another year. I just can’t believe people are more entertained by a bunch of women chasing a guy on a reality show. PLEASE!!
Week 3 and another increase in The Bachelor’s ratings….meanwhile the collective competitiveness of the 9pm hour has totally sapped the strength from Heroes once mighty ratings. A 3.9 is low even for a summer series. At first I thought that EW had mistakenly printed the demo number (LOL). But no, that’s the same viewer numbers posted by Variety. That’s just bad. Sadder still though is the reality that NBC may have to renew it just to have enough shows to temporarily fill up its schedule. Talk about being behind the eight ball. Who wants to keep an expensive show like Heroes around pulling just 3.9 million viewers from an also declining show like Chuck which didn’t exactly come out a winner with only 6.7 million viewers and distantly in last place among the big four networks at 8pm. Finally, CBS rocks and Castle over on ABC was simple amazing! That was the best episode of Castle I have ever seen. And I’ve seen them all. I bet its ratings are going to continue to grow. It was so good I thought I watching a Castle movie special. I just wish that this episode would have been a two or three part episode. It was poised for even greater things than it actually delivered.
If 24 keeps this up, they may yet get a season 9.
