rihanna and taylor swift? on top of the tragedy in Haiti, terrible “singing” will be added to cause more suffering? have mercy, no. just no.
but amen for alicia, christina A., jennifer hudson and stevie wonder. you know, actual singers with voices worth listening to.

thank the lord J.Lo and Britney Spears aren’t in this line up.

Way to post negative comments when rihanna and taylor are helping for such a needy cause. They both have huge fanbases even if you don’t like them. I’m sure their fanbases will watch and donate money.

most of their fanbase are kids who rely on their parents’ money. they don’t have disposable income to give to Haiti. but their parents do and are probably tuning in for Sting or Stevie

Snoopy, shame on you. Taking advantage of a tradegy to voice your ill-advised opinions! Horrible

Good Gawd Taylor Swift is going to pretend to sing on this? Can we make a large donation just to get her not to?

    • marilyn

Good Gawd what is wrong with some of you people.

  • Barry

I’d donate money just to keep these so called “musicians” off the air that night.

SO happy to read the comments regarding Taylor Swift. I’ve been preaching it for over a year peole. There needs to be a moratorium on that horribly permed, no-talent hillbilly. I noticed today she’s release yet another song about a fairytale. Yikes. I’m boycotting the Grammy’s this year just so my ears won’t bleed when she “sings”.

Funds are going to Haiti Relief Funds? Hope they are very clear on this and which ones. Wish that had been included in the article since the controversy surround Wyclef Jean’s fund is still brewing.

    • sbwm

Found it. Kate did reference this in blue. Sorry. Wyclef Jean’s charity is still listed. I have my doubts and no interest while he is listed without reconciliation but wonder what others think? Seems safer to go straight to the Red Cross or Salvation Army.

If the networks really cared, they wouldn’t be doing this on a Friday when no one watches TV. But I guess it’s good that they’re doing something…

It seems we’ve forgotten the reason for this fundraiser. The goal is to raise funds, not entertain… that’s just a side note. If you don’t like the artists, well, I’m sorry but it’s not the freaking Grammies- it’s a charity. Donate or don’t… but criticising the talent is entirely beside the point. They’re doing what they can to contribute- what are YOU doing?

It ain’t all-star unless George Clooney and the fellas can get the Rolling Stones to play.

Can you all stop criticizing them? I mean, seriously.. don’t you all have lives? If you’re not the one singing on the stage for Haiti, then you have absolutely no right to ridicule them. Obviously the record company liked them; that’s why they’re on the stage singing. They’re being charitable and you guys are bashing them. If you don’t like their singing, good. Keep it to yourself and let them do what they’ve got to do. Listen to the music you like cause no one’s forcing you to watch this. I love Rihanna and Taylor Swift and I WILL be one of the many purchasing their performance on iTunes. It sounds like you guys are all middle aged adults, not younger kids. I’m 15 and personally, this is the 21st century. Music sounds like this so get over yourselves and go back to your Metallica or whatever you guys listen to. Kthanks.

Wow. A lot of Taylor Swift haters on here. I think as far as “pop music” goes she is stellar. Sweet, up tempo voice. Alot of charm and hopeful energy.
Give her time to become a classic songbird like Alicia. She certainly sounds better than the exposed as no talent, hollow pretenders Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, and Miley Cyrus. The girl has substance.

You negative posters make me sick and embarrassed to be an American. This is not the place to voice your (who gives a crap) opinions about the performers while you sit on your slack ass with no talent and probably won’t even donate. You make me sick you selfish people.

  • Karen

I’m so glad to know that I’m not the only one who doesn’t care for Taylor Swift’s singing ability or rather the lack of it!

  • lisa

some people just don’t have good hearts period which makes me wonder why these b*tchers even care enough about haiti to watch the telethon…..anyone know who justin was singing with? love his voice…

  • mindmaster

What a bunch of idiots. It is not about the musicians. It’s about the people of Haiti, suffering. Wake up foools.

  • Douchebag

Tens of thousands of people have died, but come to my sleazy website for gold-diggers and hookers.
