'Glee,' 'Mad Men,' and 'Precious': GLAAD announces its 21st Annual Media Award nominees

The Gay & Lesbian Against Defamation, better known as GLAAD, announced nominations for its 21st Annual Media Awards, and the list includes everything from Glee and Modern Family in the Outstanding Comedy Series category to Grey’s Anatomy, Mad Men, and True Blood for Outstanding Drama Series to A Single Man and Precious in the Outstanding Film category, according to the release on the organization’s website. Other notable nominees include I Love You, Man in film; Brothers & Sisters, Skins, GREEK, United States of Tara, Private Practice, Parks & Recreation, The Amazing Race 15, Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, The Real World: Brooklyn, RuPaul’s Drag Race, The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Tyra Banks Show, The Joy Behar Show, All My Children, and One Life to Live in various television categories; Lady Gaga, Gossip and Adam Lambert in music.

Additionally, Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon will be honored for her advocacy of marriage equality at the New York awards ceremony on March 13 with the Vito Russo Award.

    Trailer looks pretty much in line with the first half of the first book. I loved the book sieers, so I’m hoping these movie adaptations go well. Second book was the best, so hopefully the franchise does well enough with the first one to be able to make the sequels.
