Tennis Channel files complaint against Comcast

Filed under: News and tagged: ,

The Tennis Channel filed a complaint Tuesday with the FCC that accuses cable giant Comcast of discriminating against the channel’s programming, the AP reports. The Tennis Channel alleges that Comcast isolates its channel on a premium sports tier that’s available to a small number of subscribers. By comparison, Comcast-owned The Golf Channel and Versus are featured on basic channel tiers that are available to a much larger number of viewers.

There’s a “Tennis Channel”? (I guess I just proved their point – assuming they really exist.)

I’m shocked to learn they exist as well. I wonder if there’s a golf channel too?

Oh silly me, I didn’t even bother reading the thing, I just skimmed through it. There’s a golf channel too? Well, what sport doesn’t have a channel dedicated to it?

i am glad that the Tennis Channel did this. One of the reasons I switched from Comcast and to Fios was to have access to the tennis channel with a basic subscription (that, and because Comcast is the worst company I have ever had to work with).

I am still upset that comcast and DirecTV still ahven’t come to an agreement in 5 months. They had better get it settled before the NHL playoffs start in April.

Is there anything that Comcast do well other than giving a bad service? Comcast is the worst company ever. They do everything to make their costumers feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Nothing has easy access in the Comcast system. I totally support Tennis Channel!!!
