Cable channel USA has officially picked up its freshman dramedy White Collar, which stars Matt Bomer as master con man Neal Caffrey, for a second season, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The show’s creator/executive producer Jeff Eastin Tweeted the news on Friday: “White Collar season 2 pickup is official! Congratulations to the best cast and crew on television.”
White Collar premiered in October to 5.4 million viewers and ended up averaging 5.6 million viewers through its fall finale earlier this month. The show moves from Friday to Tuesday when it returns Jan. 20 to finish out the rest of its first season.

YAY! That show is hilarious and I have a straight man crush on Bomer. LOL. He’s the best con artist charmer since Danny Ocean.
Yay for Tuesday’s. Now I don’t have to catch up on the weekends for all the shows I have to DVR on Friday (Betty, Dollhouse, White Collar, and Sanctuary). Now the only one left is Sanctuary (BTW syfy, please remove Kate and fix the show for S3).
Fran, Kate’s starting to grow on me… but I desperately miss Ashley.
And hooray for White Collar!
oh wait… I thought you meant Kate on Sanctuary. Ha.
That makes me happy. I love this show… and Matt Bomer
yay! great news for this show I just got hooked on.
Yeah for the renewal. Hopefully the show drops the Kate storyline. I’m hoping it will be soon – given the most recent episode. That story line drags down the entire mood of the show.
but the only reason Neil is helping the FBI is to be on the outside to try and find Kate.
Fun show, and looking at Matt Bomer is great way to spend an hour.
EXCELLENT NEWS! Love White Collar, and I could stare at Matthew Bomer forever. I agree, however, that they should drop the “Kate” storyline and get rid of the Hispanic Agent “Cruz” – that woman cannot act at all!
Very fun show. Exciting!
