Charles Gibson’s retirement from Good Morning America makes me sadder than this does

No matter what the cause, the untimely death of someone whose name and face have become recognizable is sad. Let’s just acknowledge that and stop passing judgement.

Maybe they want to be responsible journalists.

I was upset when they canceled King of the Hill myself, but she took it really hard.

Aughh! I forgot she did Luann’s voice.

Oh my God… I was just thinking about her this week. I saw a picture of her in one of the weeklies, and she looked so painfully thin, even worse than she had ever been. And I thought to myself that she’d been really downhill since being with her husband… She gave some beautiful performances in her films, and I was hoping against hope that she would find her footing again and blow us all away. With her unbelievable singing voice, she could have knocked it out of the park in a musical or something. I’m also recalling her promoting a Lifetime film on Craig Ferguson some months ago, and she inexplicably did the whole thing in a British accent and it was really unnerving… I was watching Craig, who had been an addict for years, even struggle through the interview because he knew she was way off… I am just so sad for her… She had so much left to do.

Woah! No way! She was honestly one of Hollywood’s coolest, most down to earth people.

This is a shame, I liked her and I don’t mean this as any kind of joke, but she was really good in The Dead Girl, not a joke.
    RIP Ms.Murphy

This is very tragic, someone so young and talented, this reminds me of Heath Ledger (sniff). R.I.P. Brittany.

    • TJ

Yeah, not on the same level as Heath Ledger

  • “Rolling With the Homies”

    RIP

I wonder if a spot has been designated yet for people to pile up flowers and teddy bears. Did she have a star of the walk of fame in hollywood yet?

A terrible loss, a great actress given the right material and funny in person too. Far too young to go out this way and a tragic loss.

She also starred with Dabney Coleman and actresss A.J. Langer in the short-lived FOX comedy “Drexel`s Class.” It aired back in the early-90`s

I have been a big fan and it’s sad to see anyone (celebrity or person with a normal job) die at such a young age. Realistically, though, I didn’t know her and she didn’t know me. And where are the pics and stories of the 5 people that just died in the winter storm? Aren’t their lives important, too?

You realize you are on a entertainment website

    • Glastoe

YOU realize that is an idiotic thing to say since this is a top story on CNN as well, so how is she more important on CNN or CNBC or whatever? The person’d point is still valid.

So sad, hope is not true, if it is I will always remember her as Topanga’s weird friend on Boy Meets World, really funny actress, RIP.

So sad to hear this. Regardless of what “may” have caused it. I pray for her mom, mostly. She was very close with her mother and an only child. A terrific actress since the age of 9. Adorable and sweet. Can’t say that about many in Hollywood. She wanted to entertain, and she did it well!
