Michael Jackson: Feds to release report on molestation cases

Filed under: News and tagged:

TMZ is reporting that the FBI will release hundreds of pages of Michael Jackson’s formerly-classified file on Monday. The file relates to his 1993 and 2004 child-molestation cases. The file also reportedly has details pertaining to any case in which the pop singer was an alleged victim, including threats and extortion attempts. Nothing about Dr. Conrad Murray or Michael’s death will be in the files.

If that’s not Michale Jackson outside my house with a snow plow, I must be flipping.

  • Pat Robertson

    probably an impersonator…

  • Zoey

anyone can get these papers through the Freedom of Information Act….just write the FBI on any deceased and you can read the papers yourself. You can also get any FBI info they have on yourself too. Just write the F0IA a letter requesting it.

    • H

That is partially true. It takes a bit more than just a request letter. There are forms, fees, and notaries public involved, and you must make your request with as much specificity as possible; i.e., names, dates and events. And when a criminal case is involved, you almost have to provide case titles, specific locations where charges were filed, etc. If you write to the DOJ saying “I want all the unsealed information on Michael Jackson,” they will politely inform you that your request is too broad and make you refile. Interest at this point, to me at least, seems unnecessarily prurient. Nosy people should let the man’s kids have some peace. They don’t need to see every photograph, and hear all the lurid details. Neither do we, for that matter. Let the man rest in peace.

      • MacAttack

They will not be releasing any of the photos if they are naked or against the law. To the person below that mentioned that they will not release Elvis’ pages, they will, but Elvis was not charged with any crimes, that is why they will not have anything on him.

      • Lily

You don’t have to be charged with a crime to have an FBI file. Hundreds of celebrities (and ordinary people) have files.

  • AcaseofGeo

Is this legal? I don’t know so tell me. Is this even necessary at this point? Everyone is set in their opinions of whether he did or didn’t molest boys. I’m not sure he molested them, but there’s NO denying he did very freakish and questionable things with them.

    • truth

“he did very freakish and questionable things with them”. this is ABSOLUTELY FALSE. MJ did not violate kids in anyway. this is all tabloid lies.

      • AcaseofGeo

truth, he admitted he slept with boys. What grown man do you know that sleeps with complete stranger’s boys?? At the very outset, THAT IS DEFINED AS FREAKY. I NEVER said he violated them.

  • datruth82

So, bascially…this is being released…why? The man has died. Out of respect for him and his family, this should not be allowed. Now, this seems to have racist implications. Elvis Presley committed some serious acts of drug use, and licentious behavior in his time, and I guarantee those files will never be released. Why? Because he’s a white, American icon. But, in the case of Michael (yeah, he went a little crazy with the skin bleaching), but the reality is that he is of black descent. That’s why they have no qualms about doing this to his name and legacy.

    • GiveMeABreak

Why does everything have to be ‘racist’ with you people? Knock the giant chip off of your shoulder and accept responsibility where responsibility lies.

      • topazbean

I think you answered your own question with your use of the phrase “you people”.

However – it will be possible to have Elvis’ files released under a Freedom of Information Act request. The only reason this is being formally announced is because of public interest in the case. In this case I would question the idea that this is a race issue specifically of him being black – although obviously his dramatic colour change in his twenties is what has fuelled continued public interest in every aspect of his life to this day. In reality, Jackson is such an unusual case that I don’t think you can consider anything to do with his later life or death as in any way representative of race relations in the States as a whole.

      • John

        You people?

      • V

Apparently it has to do with racism. Particularly when you see ignorant phrases like “you people”. Who are “you people”?

    • AcaseofGeo

Oh Pleaaaase. Racist? If you’re gonna accuse someone of being racist, accues Michael himself, who bleached himself white and then only picked white boys for sleepovers and fun and games. I am sooooo sick of the race card.

      • mel

        Thank-you!

      • Mimi

okay so yeah, he was insane and crazy. but he had a disease, the autopsy even showed that. but yeah, the plastic surgery and stuff, he’s insane, but he’s not racist LOL
i think cats are gonna come out of the bag now…

Michael was declared innocent, but people lean towards information that backs a believe they already have. That’s why the media put such an unbalanced emphasis on anything that would make him look guilty–there was a large audience that wanted to see that fall from grace and therefore more money for the media in a guilty Michael than an innocent one. There was no evidence, and there was a recorded phone conversation of the boy’s father saying that he was jealous of his son’s admiration for Michael and wanted to bring Michael’s career to a point of no return. Jordan Chandler (who, Acaseof Geo, is not white, if that matters to you) admitted he lied and his father made him do it and his father, not too long ago committed suicide. People are biased and not easy to change opinions. To be fair to the argument it works both ways. I was a kid in the late eighties and early nineties and idolized Michael like millions of kids around the world. He was the adult we wanted to be when we grew up– Someone who accomplished their dreams without sacrificing the fun of life. A lot of adults saw Michael as strange, but as kids, he was one of the few adults that made sense to us. Kids wanted to dress like him, dance like Michael and be around him. Michael loved kids the same way millions of kids around the world loved him and still do. This comment got wordier than I intended, but my point comes around to saying that there is a vastly greater amount of information that points toward Michael being innocent, and it is all too sad that this information is only now being promoted to the public. I believe rival hero worship may have had played a large part in this. For instance at the time of the allegations Michael was breaking records set by Elvis and the Beatles. Now if you’re a fan of either one of these, and I’m guessing that’s a very large percent of the population, this may have been a little upsetting. Not saying those fans constructed this smear campaign but once they found out them may have waved these allegations more enthusiastically in the face of Michael fans. These combined efforts made, and are still sadly making, a large impact on his image and information promoted about him.

Let’s be honest, prejudice and discrimination is about power and control by one group over another. Jackson undergoing repeated cosmetic surgeries (and I don’t know enough about plastic surgery or vitiligo to know if he really did deliberately change his colour) cannot be considered racist. That would be like calling someone who self-harms a sadist. This kind of behaviour is indicative of a deep-seated anxiety and lack of self identity. If anything, he probably suffered from body dysmorphia, which is a serious mental illness in which people truly and constantly believe that there is something repulsive or fundamentally “wrong” about their own appearance, and cosmetic surgery is not a solution because they will never be satisfied. Responsible cosmetic surgeons are supposed to look for signs of this before allowing anyone to undergo any cosmetic procedure, suggesting some extremely irresponsible behaviour on whoever continued to operate on Jackson. Needless to say, body dysmorphia certainly has social factors involved, as evidenced by the intensive skin bleaching some black women put themselves through in apartheid South Africa, but if Jackson’s appearance was a result of the inherent racism of Western society, then he was a victim of this, not a perpetrator.

      • Renz

Bleached his skin?? It was wildly reported, and proved that he had a skin decease you dumbass! And if he bleached part of his skin and I mean IF! Then think about it, wouldn’t you do it if you only had 2 or three spots left of your natural color? Yes you would even it out… but I expect you to say you wouldn’t.

      • brandon

Michael had never bleached his skin to be white, everybody is an expert on MJ if it fits, but most of you has failed to check the facts and latest investigation files that proved that Michael had Vitiligo and that caused “fading” or losing the colour of his skin, research the Vitiligo info or just click on Google about LEE THOMAS, the white Afro-American television star suffering with Vitiligo applying brown make-up!!!!

    • truth

MJ did not bleach his skin. He had a genetic skin disease, vitiligo. Look it up and stop spewing lies.

  • Caged Wisdom

Elvis didnt do anything with young boys, so drop the comparisons!

I’d put MJ in the Gary Glitter category and at least Glitter was with females.

    • me

      Neither did MJ.

    • melinda

Except Gary is actually serving time for something he was proven to have committed. Michael wasn’t convicted of anything. And “at least Glitter was with females” is the stupidest comment ever. Either way, isn’t it equally wrong?

    • JP

“At least Glitter was with females”??????????? Are you for real? “Wisdom,” my ass. Doesn’t take wisdom to be a disgusting pig.

    • Renz

My comments were directed at Acaseof Geo not Topazbeen btw

      • AcaseofGeo

Are you denying his skin was whiter than most white people’s skin? There is no disease I know of that would immaculately make your whole skin tone change that perfectly and evenly. So he must’ve done something to make it that white. And, why do his kids seem to have absolutely none of his original features, including skin color. Having 3 bi-racial kids, the odds are that at least ONE would have some African American features. My point was, and still is, its NOT about racism but if it were, it all began with his own racism against himself.

      • to AcaseofGeo

you really are not that bright. do you know what vitiligo, the skin disease MJ had does to the skin? It diminishes one’s natural skin color. Therefore a black person would become paler than white with brown splotches over their body. In order for a person who suffers from vitiligo (such as MJ) not to look like a leopard or spotted creature, they have to bleach the splotches so they have an even color—so they can look normal after the disease has physically manifested itself on their body. i am so sick of ignorant people like you.

    • brandon

Elvis was over 20 years old soldier dating with 15 years old Priscilla, so that was OK???

So you Americans, what does mean for You the American Justice system and American Laws if you are judging and naming someone who was cleared of every single charge???

One can be charged but innocent, then proved to be innocent but for most of you the person is still guilty just because you think???

      This is sick… American system…

  • Sara

Michael didn’t do anything. Anyone who paid attention to that trial knows this.. that family is so money-hungry it’s sick. It wasn’t even the first person they had accused! And yet, they allowed their son to go around Neverland Ranch with Michael and a tour of kids? It’s not right. Michael was tormented about his childhood and just wanted to entertain children, and that family took advantage of him.
This is so sad, why are they doing this? For money, attention?

  • B

This is very disturbing. I can see no value in releasing this information. Leave it alone.

  • kira1413

No value? Except it might prove he did molest those boys. This has nothing to do with race, it has to do with these MJ worshipers afraid of having their idol knocked off his pedastal. Afraid it might be proven true.

    • Anna

In which case are the boys not entitled to their privacy and dignity? Let those who can’t live without knowing file the freedom of information request and for the rest let it be. I don’t know if any actual molestation took place, I do know there was a whole lot of weird going on. My biggest contempt has always lain with the parents of these children. What in the bloody blue blazes were they thinking giving Michael Jackson unfettered overnight access to their children? But then, maybe that’s just me, despite being Catholic from my head to my toes I never let my kids serve at the altar either. It baffles me when a parent abdicates their responsibility as their child’s first line of defense.

    • Ben

Actually it won’t prove anything one way or the other. If it can either MJ or the accusers would be in jail already.

Both camps will be rather disappointed on monday.

    • topazbean

It won’t prove anything that a court of law couldn’t, if we are to have any faith in the justice system as it exists. What will be more interesting in my eyes will be the documents related to extortion attempts against Jackson himself – many commentators have long since concluded that both molestation trials were concerted attempts to extort money from the Jackson estate.

      • Viola

I agree the extortion information will be the most interesting news to find out about. I just wish they had delt with it when he was alive.

  • Tony

Report what ? Everyone knew he was a pervert.

    • myself

you speak for everyone? only mean-spirited bottom-feeders who read tabloids as if they were factual (such as yourself) would make such an erroneous statement. you must be a pervert since its seems to be on your mind so much.

  • Ben

That’s good, let’s get it over with already.

  • Chuck

The man is dead. All you haters let the man rest in peace.

  • Silent Rage

you people are vultures. would be pathetic if it wasn’t so sad.

  • lux

Things are going according to plan. Vindication is imminent.

    • Viola

      Well said!
