Ben Bernanke named 'Time' magazine's Person of the Year

Ben Bernanke, the 56-year-old chairman of the Federal Reserve, has been crowned Time‘s Person of Year. Runners-ups include General Stanley McChrystal, the Chinese worker, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, and Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, the world’s fastest man. Among the People Who Mattered: Jon and Kate Gosselin, Adam Lambert, Jay Leno and David Letterman, Twilight‘s Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, Taylor Swift, The Twitter guys (Biz Stone and Evan Williams), and Tiger Woods.

    Adam Lambert didn’t matter until the end of the year… and even then it was only because he’s a tranny train wreck

      Well, he was on that little show called American Idol earlier this year…I’ve heard a few people watch that.

    Well, it certainly is convenient that Time would make its announcement just before the Senate is due to take up his re-appointment. Let’s see…banks…the Federal Reserve…and media companies. And then there is little old representative democracy.
