The nods started coming in 35 minutes ago and still nothing….
GO DEXTER!!!
Go Dexter, House and True Blood!!!!!!
I’m 100% with Frank on this one, but also want to know why Breaking Bad got stiffed!
Great more 30 rock crap. No one watches this show. Modern family should win.
Uh… tons of people watch 30 Rock. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t.
yeah a lot of people watch 30 Rock…and I hope it wins!
30 Rock again. Ugh. Not funny. The Office – really not funny. Guess the nominating committee have a different sense of humor than most viewers. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.
Agree, I’ve turned on 30 Rock a couple times and just thought it was WEIRD and not funny, never laughed once. The Office is SO much better.
I watch 30 Rock all the time and enjoy it very much. It definitely deserved to be nominated
I don’t watch 30 Rock.
Both the Office and 30 Rock are brilliant and hilarious and either would deserve to win.
I don’t watch that crap!
Pretty much everyone I know watches 30 Rock..it’s hysterical…on the other hand I think Modern Family is definitely the best new show so I’m torn..the Globes love new shows though so I’m betting on Modern Family
I love Glee go Glee movieloversmatch
I’m VERY surprised ‘Breaking Bad’ wasn’t nominated, or Cranston for lead actor.
THRILLED that ‘Glee’ got nominated. Jane Lynch has got to win it!
they’re probably all still having their coffee.
well, I don’t know about the rest of you but I am PUMPED that jane lynch was nominated for her performance in glee! outstanding sue sylvester! I hope she gives her acceptance speech in character. that would make my day
She is awesome! One of the best characters on tv…haven’t we all had a “Sue Sylvester” in school at one time in our lives?
haha! “outstanding!”
that was great!
yay for jane lynch!
Um, I’m not seeing Jane Lynch in this list. Are you all being sarcastic? Where are you seeing this?
Tiffany: on GMMR there’s another list and Jane Lynch was on Best Supporting Actress. I hope she wins! Congrats Jane Lynch!
@Tiffany: “Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role”
Oh, I see it now. When I got on this morning I was only seeing a partial list for some reason.
There is no way Jane Lynch can lose this category. At all. Love Chloe Sevigny, but this is Jane’s award.
Yay for Jane Lynch and Glee!!!
Yeah for GLEE!
Kudos to Matthew, Lea and Jane “Sue”.
GLEE BEST TELEVISION SERIES COMEDY/MUSICAL!!!!
And kudos to my all-time favorite Hugh “House” Laurie <3
ditto on Hugh Laurie! He is brilliant every damn episode!
If Jane Lynch does not win, I will go to the animal shelte and get, get a kitty cat, give it to the Golden Globes committee and let them fall in love with that kitty cat, then on some dark cold night I will steal away into their homes and punch them in the face.
I agree! Sue is one of the best characters on TV right now
Breaking Bad shut out? Not even Bryan Cranston nominated? Again?
The Globes are officially a joke.
I dont think they’re a joke…but there were a few head scratchers this mornng
They have ALWAYS been a joke, hon…
Yeah, Breaking Bad should be there instead of the terrible season 2 of True Blood.
@Daniel..umm no they are a joke. The Golden Globes are a joke every year.
Yes they are a joke!
No Sons of Anarchy and no Breaking Bad.. that’s a shame, these two shows were just as amazing as Mad Men this year. Instead they nominate garbage like True Blood.
Sons Of Anarachy needs some love. ESP Katey Segal!
You can choose not to like True Blood but it is in no way garbage Mr Hunt. It is frothy and fun and completely addictive and deserves a nod
whoa whoa True Blood isnt garbage (also HBO is incapbable of creating trash) its pretty witty and subtly touches on discrimination
Yay for True Blood and Big Love!! HBO has produced some of the best TV ever..and remember ‘It’s not TV, it’s HBO.”
Do you remember a little show called “John from Cincinatti?”
You rag on True Blood getting nominated? What about House, inane procedural garbage.
Where is Lost?
Battlestar Gallactica?
Breaking Bad isn’t the only show not getting love.
Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy are just the first that came to my mind. I think they were on par with Mad Men, and that’s saying something. But I agree, Lost and BG would have mad better nominees as well. Why Dexter is getting a nom is a mystery to me as well. It’s the same every season, the only really good one was the first. The rest isn’t award worthy.
That’s a good question…where the hell is Lost?!
Have to agree with you Justin, I would add Sons of Anarchy. Guess because BSG was only on ten weeks at the beginning of the year, these guys have short memories.
Yes I was thinking the same thing why isn’t LOST nominated?
Totally agree..Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy two of the most entertaining shows on t.v.
Julia Roberts for Duplicity!?! Congrats Golden Globes on nominating your first robot. I’m not a Julia hater, but she was awful in that film.
REALLY?!?!? NO LOST?!?! Shame
That was exactly my thought. No nomination for LOST in the best drama category is a big mistake.
I think Lost has a chance of sweeping the field next year if they end the show right.
Exactly! It’s the smartest, most challenging show on TV and has only gotten better with each new season. But nope, they’d rather acknowledge the tired likes of House (again!).
And why the Frak is Entourage continually nominated for any of these awards?!?! It’s a terrible, terrible series. The FPA must just write in the names they’re familiar with regardless of their merits.
‘Lost’ is the best drama on network television..shame on you Globes!!! Way to ignore epic storytelling!!
How the hell has LOST been widely ignored through out it’s run with nominations??? It’s one of the best shows EVER with some of the best casting ever!!!!!!!!
No Lost!!! This was one of the best seasons. Glad they at least recognized Michael Emerson but what a sham. Lets at least hope next year they sweep the awards.
Where’s Elizabeth Mitchell? She is an incredible actress in Lost. Hopefully Lost will get love next year. But then again, where is BSG!? I think there is just too much good TV out there now.
Seriously, Elizabeth Mitchell got screwed out of an Emmy nomination and now a Golden Globe. What the heck? This is insanity!
i’m so disappointed she hasn’t received any nominations for her performance!
No nomination for Jim Parsons
That’s what I said! Boooooooo! I love me some Sheldon.
Ditto-No Big bang Theory love. No Jim Parsons love. BOOOOOOOOOOO
Seriously. What a slap in the face to one of the best comedic actors on television right now. I’m Alec Baldwin will win for his boring tired performance on the piece of junk 30 Rock.
Liz Lemon, how could you say that!
I know it hurts, Liz, to sit alone in silence when your friends and family laugh riotously at “30 Rock”. But, please, don’t take your, um, challenges out on Alec.
I agree. Total BS, go vote for him for People’s Choice 100 times over. He’s awesome.
Go Glee! Tough category though.
Damn SOA is one of the BEST shows.. Excited for True Blood!! excellent show
I agree…can’t believe Katey Segal didnt get a nom. BOOOO
Sons of Anarchy is to FX what The Sopranos was to HBO years ago – an amazing series – very different to anything we’ve seen before. A shame it wasn’t acknowledged. I can’t wait till this season is on DVD so I can watch it in its entirety again. Fantastic show.
Glee, I’m so happy that this show which I know I’m not alone in saying that I thought was going to be a rip off of High School Musical is doing so unbelievably well
where’s the full list?
Go to imdb.com or the Golden Globes website. I don’t know EW is so slow this morning about this.
Bad list! No lost! Ugh… I guess Mad Men is gonna win this year… but I want Dexter to win badly
TRUE BLOOD is no garbage dude!.. that show is crazy good..
Yay! for True Blood and Glee!! Keep ‘em coming, guys!!!
i’m sorry but why does entourage keep getting nominated?? it isn’t even a good show! there are much better guilty pleasure shows than that BUT i am glad to see big love, glee and modern family and the office nominated.
Agreed. That show should end. It’s not what it used to be back in season 1 & 2. Should replace that for ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILLEDELPHIA. THAT is one of the funniest shows on now.
Yeah, how can It’s Always Sunny keep getting the shaft? It’s one of the funniest shows on tv BY FAR! I’m very pleased Glee and Modern Family got some love though. I think it should be between those two this year for best comedy.
A+ Comment! What the heck is Entourage doing so well that it continually hogs a precious spot in the nominations? When was the last time it even won anything, 2-3 years ago? ENTOURAGE SUCKS!
Boo- no LOST. Guess they are waiting for the final season to bestow the noms. At least Michael Emerson will be there to represent.
I know the movie noms aren’t on this list yet, but JULIA ROBERTS for Duplicity??? Really?? Are they desperate to have her at the show or WHAT?
I have never seen it so I can’t opine on the quality of the show, but my guess is that, since it’s about Hollywood behind the scenes, and these awards are given by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, they may be getting the jokes or the vibe of the show more than the public at large. Or the members of the HFPA are being showered with banquets and freebies by the show, this being the w*h*orish Golden Globes after all.
