Tiger Woods announced on his website Friday that he will take “an indefinite break from professional golf.” The superstar golfer has seen his squeaky clean image unravel as more of his infidelities come to light. He addressed his transgressions directly on his site. “I’m deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children. I want to say again to everyone that I’m profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness.” He added, “I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person.”

If not for a sex scandal, EW wouldn’t even be reporting a thing about Tiger Woods.
So, since EW is not an exploitative tabloid, and since EW normally doesn’t feature sports, I have to ask: WHY ALL THE SUDDEN TIGER WOODS’ STORIES?
(Perhaps EW aspires to be an exploitative tabloid?…)
TRANSLATION: “I am unable to return to playing golf until my extensive wounds heal”.
Why is EW posting this? I agree with Scott. EW is NOT a source for tabloid gossip but REAL legitimate entertainment news. Plus, Tiger is a golfer, so I would expect this on ESPN’s website, not EW.
Come on, prudes! You know this is entertaining to see Tiger and his Wood! It’s the same as A-Rod: when he’s hitting homeruns, it’s sports; when he’s hitting on Madonna and Kate Hudson, it’s entertainment. Plus, some of those hos are bound to be featured in Playboy or porn, which is not far from Girls Next Door.
Serves him right and he decided this because his wife gave him an ultimatum…it’s her or the game of golf and the ones mad now are NBC, GOLF, CBS, ESPN and even ABC.
^ so TRue.
I say it serves him right too. He waited to get married until he was 29 years old. He was 32 when he had his first child. It doesn’t seem to me that he missed out on anything in his young adult years so why in the world did he treat his wife like this? No excuses!
Should we blame Tiger or Nicole for the typos in the message above? I hope it’s Tiger…gives me another reason to hate him.
Can’t wait to see him on the forthcoming sex tape.
Entertainment Weekly not only concerns itself with film, TV, music, but also pop culture. Hence the PopWatch blog, & the Bulls’ Eye on Pop Culture feature in its magazine. Tiger Woods is very much a part of our pop culture.
celebrities think they are beyond anything. untouchable. it’s like every week some a-hole celeb falls off theyir high horse and into the horse manure. tiger why did you get married if you still wanted to play the field? your a jerk. now your up there with the likes of Lindsey Lohan, Vick with the dogs, and MJ with the addictions. you deserve to lose all your endorsements for embarrasing your family and the other professionals in the game.
I never liked gold anyway. can’t trust someone with bigger teeth than a horse.
Yup, that’ll do it. You have my appeircaiton.
