USA’s detective dramedy Monk ended its eight-season run with a finale that pulled in 9.4 million viewers, which is the “largest audience for a drama series on basic cable” ever, according to the Hollywood Reporter. It topped the previous record-holder, TNT’s The Closer, by around 200,000 viewers.

i think monk should have been a top 10 show- now what will we watch on friday night it was the only good show on t.v period now we are lost- do you think Tony Shaloub would reconsider? he did leave the ending open for a return- we’ll see jope so
hey Mr. Shaloub would you maybe take a year or two (to make it an even # ) and come back i already miss you and now all we have are re-runs i think if you maybe got somw assistance in the writing area you could do it – im sorry but the last season we had just assumed that you got different writers because the shoe dynamic had changed- we still watched it though we are addicts
