She might actually be the reason that I’ll start watching the news again. She’s almost ethereal on screen.

It’s all make-up and special lighting effects.

Are you kidding? Diane Sawyer is like 62 years old – she is gorgeous! And brilliant. Exciting news, but also sad to have her leave GMA.

She is the only reason I watch GMA. Man, we will miss her.

Oh no!!! Oh well, opportunity knocked and she answered. Nothing wrong with that.

I usually watch the Today show anyway with Matt, Meredith, Anne, an Al

puhleaze…she’s not a patch on Charlie Gibson. She may act all ‘ethereal’ and compassionate…but I’ll never forget her biased and rude questions to Lisa Marie Presley asking her ‘how could you marry Michael Jackson…have you seen how he looks?” Talk about shallow and pathetic journalism

    • ger

But that was the question everyone (except the Michael Jackson diehard fans) wanted to ask.

I totally remember that interview Ann! She was so rude.

I love Diane. She has evolved thru the decades and still looks fab. Goodbye Charlie-you’ve seen better days. Robin’s ok but George? not so much for GMA. they need 3 new people to go with Robin.

I liked Robin and Diane’s on air banter. You can tell they like each other. Chris always seems to have this look on his face like “why am I here? I’m a serious journalist.” and poor Sam. How long does the poor boy have to stay in the closet? I’d like for just once Sam to talk about his boyfriend. I think middle America will survive.

I love the GMA group. I am not liking the idea of George at all. I think Chris or Bill Weir would have been a much better choice.

Oh, so George Snuffleupagus is taking Diane’s place? Ugh. I guess it’s internet news sites for me now.

We will NOT be watching World News after Charlie leaves. Diane Sawyer is a PATHETIC excuse for a “journalist”. She has remained at ABC only because she can attract big names because her husband is a big time Hollywood director. Otherwise, Diane would be doing the weather in Duluth.

I used to love GMA when it was Charlie & Diane. They were such a good combo. Around the time Charlie left GMA Katie Couric left TODAY (I couldn’t stand her). They brought in Meredith (the smartest move she ever made leaving “the joke” that is The View). I’m now a TODAY viewer. Although I used to really enjoy the 4th hour of TODAY I can’t tolerate Kathy Lee Gifford. I’d rather stick hot needles in my eyes than watch/listen to her so called “humor” which is really just her making digs at Hoda.

I like her because she is level headed and s the questions that others should have.

Diane, I can’t imagine GMA without you, but I do wish you all the best.
I remember a haunting story when GMA went to (I believe) Russia to visit an orphanage, and the children there stayed in beds all day just to keep warm. Did anything change for those children?

    The best to you always.

Diane will be missed on GMA!!! I am so disappointed that George is taking her place. I would have loved Chris and Robin together and GG in Chris’ old seat. Oh well! Only gonna watch because of Robin, Sam, Chris and GG.
