Fox to develop werewolf series 'Howl'

Tagged:

The Fox network will develop Howl, from DreamWorks TV, a saga about warring families of werewolves in a small Alaska town. “Alaska is a place where people disappear and now you know why,” screenwriter Joshua Miller told Variety, adding that the script reflects changes that are going on in the U.S. “Metamorphosis and constant change is the basis of werewolf mythology,” he said.

    Ugh, I hate werewolves.

Love it. Another series capitalizing on the current success of twilight/true blood and the like. I’m a big fan of fantasy and the super natural but like any good song, if you play it too much it gets annoying.
And lets be honest, just because you’ve elected to create a series about werewolves doesn’t mean you aren’t hoping on the vampire train essentially.

Interesting to think Fox might try to be creative again….too bad they missed out on shows like Smallville, Supernatural, or the Vampire Diaries. All shows the CW picked up but the type of shows Fox use to have that distinguished the network. Oh well, they can remain the network of Idol

I think some in Alaska will be offended – people don’t like their home state diss’ed.
