Jemaine Clement, one half of the comic duo behind HBO’s Flight of the Conchords, told Reuters that the show “very likely might not” return for a third season. Clement, who emphasized how much work the musical comedy required, left open the possible of a shorter season or a one-time special.

Brad Pitt, who walked away unharmed from a motorcycle accident Oct. 25, implicated an aggressive paparazzi in the crash. People Magazine reports that Pitt told press in Tokyo that he hadn’t been injured, but he had been “trying to get away from the paparazzi and instead gave them a good story.”
Colin Hanks joins Matt Nix's 'Jack and Dan'
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Colin Hanks will star in Matt Nix’s new Fox action comedy Jack and Dan. The 13-episode, hour-long series also stars Bradley Whitford. Hanks will play Jack, a by the book detective in the LAPD who is partnered with the wild-card cop Dan (Whitford). Nix previously created Burn Notice.
Helen Mirren joins espionage thriller 'Red'
Helen Mirren will join Morgan Freeman and Bruce Willis in the new thriller Red, Variety reports. Summit Entertainment is adapting the WildStorm/DC comic about a former CIA agent who is tracked down by a high-tech assassin.
Gerard Bulter to star with Ralph Fiennes in 'Coriolanus'
Gerard Butler has signed on to star opposite Ralph Fiennes in Fiennes’ directorial debut Coriolanus, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The cast of the contemporary Shakespearean adaptation also includes William Hurt, Eddie Marsan, Jessica Chastain and Vanessa Redgrave. The film will shoot in Serbia starting in March.
Sigourney Weaver, John C. Reilly join 'Cedar Rapids'
Sigourney Weaver, John C. Reilly and Alia Shawkat have joined Ed Helms and Anne Heche in the cast of comedy Cedar Rapids, Variety reports. Miguel Arteta is directing the Fox Searchlight project, which has already started shooting.
Patrick Dempsey finds the funny in bank robbery
Patrick Dempsey has signed on to headline an untitled comic heist picture by The Hangover writing team, Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The Grey’s Anatomy star will play a bank customer caught in the middle of two simultaneous robberies and trying to save the teller he secretly loves. No director or financing has been announced.
Parents Television Council writes letter criticizing threesome storyline on 'Gossip Girl'
TheWrap has obtained a letter from The Parents Television Council criticizing CW affiliates who plan to air a Nov. 9 episode of Gossip Girl featuring a threesome. TheWrap says the letter claims the stations will be “complicit in establishing a precedent and expectation that teenagers should engage in behaviors heretofore associated primarily with adult films.” The author of the letter, PTC chief Tim Winter, also claims that affiliates have the right to preempt the programming. The CW has no comment.

Carrie Prejean and Miss California USA settle lawsuit
Miss California USA has released a joint statement today that says the organization has settled their lawsuit with former Miss California Carrie Prejean. “Carrie Prejean, Keith Lewis, and K2 productions have dropped their claim against each other and wish each other the best in their future endeavors,” the statement read. In August, Prejean—who was fired by Miss California USA in June—had sued the organization for religious discrimination, claiming pageant organizers had asked she stop referencing God. Miss California USA countersued soon after. This year’s Miss California pageant will take place Nov. 22.
