Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry told People today that the fate of his hard rock band remained unclear, despite Perry’s public reunion with singer Steven Tyler on Tuesday night. Reports circulated earlier this week that Tyler was departing the group, and Perry admitted that even he was surprised when Tyler popped up onstage at a New York City concert that Perry was playing with his side band, The Joe Perry Project. According to Perry, he invited Tyler to sing “Walk This Way,” and after the performance, Tyler immediately disappeared. ”We’re still Aerosmith,” said Perry. “We don’t know what we’re gonna do. We’ve talked about all kinds of different things. Things are still up in the air.”
