First Ryan, now Jake? Apparently, Reese is a professional beard.
i don’t think Jake is gay. if he was, he’d just come out already, i think. anyways, i don’t feel like looking up “Toothy Tile” (not sure what’ll pop up), so can someone tell me what it refers to? Ever since I made the mistake of looking up “lemon party”, I don’t look up things w/o asking about them in advance!
Sandbox, you owe me one. I googled Toothy Tile and found a website full of blind items about closeted Hollywood leading men. Not very well written or very interesting, imho, and no, I can’t say I found any concrete proof that Jake Gyllenhaal is gay. Although really, who cares? I honestly don’t get all this curiosity on celebrities and their sexual orientation. Who wants a closeted role model? I admire Neil Patrick Harris, Ellen Degeneres, Portia De Rossi and Rupert Everett. They’ve been proudly out for quite a number of years now. To me, that makes them better role models for any community than some cute actor or actress who worries about their bankability taking a hit if they’re honest about their sexual orientation.
Oh please…Jake is not gay. Why would he be willing to play a gay character on film but not come out in real life. And..why would Reese Witherspoon agree to be his “beard”? What does she get out of it? Correct if I’m wrong, but, it certainly isn’t “box office” cred as she already has that and hasn’t had a movie out in a long time. These same “rumors” circulate every cute leading man (from Tom Cruise and on) and it’s ridiculous. “Industry rumors…” .. blech. Please.
LOL when I read “blech. Please” i thought it said bitch pleeze like from SNL. But still, they are a cute couple and you may have a point. But what if he is scared to come out?
Sandbox…I Googled “Toothy Tile” and it’s a nickname that Ted Casablanca (a real upstanding journalist…HAH) has used for Jake over the years. How he came up with the name I do not know (nor do I care), but he ran numerous stories about an up-and-coming movie star who is secretly gay…using only “Toothy Tile” as the name. It was later revealed that “Toothy Tile” is Jake G. Still don’t buy it. Again..haven’t we heard these stories about every hunky Hollywood star? It’s so boring and cliche.
There also is a rumor that Reese has been in a long-time relationship with her female manager so the “bearding” may work both ways for them.
I think we may have a mystery on our hands, Kate. Let’s call Scooby Doo, Inspecter Clousoue, and Sherlock Homes. lol jk
Look, its well known around Hollywood that Jake is gay, he almost came out to Time magazine around the opening of “Brokeback”. He was seen time and again around Hollywood making out with his “John From Cincinnati” boyfriend. His handlers forced him to stay in the closet, sadly, probably, a good idea. I’m not sure where the Reese thing falls in with this, my guess she is so Type A, was so hurt by her husband, legitimately likes Jake, he needed a beard, she’s through with me: Voila. But that part is only speculation. Though I’d bet that she wasn’t a lesbian. She probably just has no use for sex.

If he is gay, he should do what he wants on the coming out issue. None of our business really. As for RW, she’s a grown woman and a savvy business person. She’s good no matter what.
Why is it that people waste so much time trying to figure out if somebody is gay. If the relationship works for them, that’s all that counts. Nobody’s business but theirs.
