  • Maybe..

    Taylor Lautner?
This will be worse than January Jones!
I guess they’re trying to get that female demographic.
    SNL should just RIP.

    • EWsMom

Taylor Lautner is such a joke….but maybe they brought him in to make January’s HORRID performance look decent in comparison.

    • megan

Shut up you hater. Your probably a fat old freak

      • imlikemegan

no the thirtysomething women going to see new moon are the fat old freaks. megan you will wise up someday. girls used to think the new kids on the block and joey lawrence were the next big thing too

      • UGH

Megan has been called the c word way too many times I’m guessing.

      • hoganbcmj

        ahem – it’s: “you’re” probably a fat old freak.

    • Maureen

I actually think Taylor won’t be that bad! He definitely has more charisma than Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

      • susana

        your right

    • Celia

      But whatever…I haven’t watched SNL since 2005.

    • Eve

I honestly don’t mind Taylor Lautner, RPattz, or Kristen Stuart. Twilight is just a stupid franchise, and the writing in the movies (and books…) are horrid. I think it’ll be a good thing for Taylor to show that he can pull off funny, not just badly written melodrama.

    • M

Why say this? Give the dude a chance atleast.

    • cico

So glad Pattinson knocked this back. The comedy writing is atrocious. Its a desperate show these days

  • Steve

    muse and franco! awesome.

    • Liz

I agree! I don’t watch the show often, but I will watch this one.

    • Amber

Thank you Steve for NOT commenting on Taylor Lautner. I don’t get why no one’s noticed the other people mentioned in this article. Give the kid a chance…GEEZ!

    • Al

I completely agree with you! James Franco is fantastic, and Muse is honestly, though it is just my personal opinion, one of the greatest bands that I have ever heard.

      • Judy

omg dude you are 100% right about that.

    • Judy

MUSEEEEEEEEEE @&!*^#!$^*!368 My heart skipped a couple of beats! And Franco of course, such a friggin awesome combo.

      • Rox

Couldn’t agree more if I tried!

    • L

Sweet!! At least one episode this season will be worth checking out. James Franco and Muse…it’s like a dream combo.

    • thicky

Both Franco and that cocky kid get on my nerves. i wont be watching

  • invaliduser

taylor lautner and bon jovi. all the catladies and nascar moms rejoice

    • Renee

Your comment made me laugh out loud…nice. Totally agree.

  • A.J. Simon

Are they nuts? Blake Lively is the cute girl of the moment, once she ages a little more, she will be old news. And Taylor who? Stop with the teeny-bopper selections. Good choice on Franco (he should have been Anakin Skywalker)

    Dream Guests:
    1. Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad/Malcom in the Middle)
    2. Craig Ferguson (his skits are better than anything SNL does)

    Dream Musical Guest:
    1. Renee Olstead with Chris Botti performing “Pennies from Heaven”
(Please put more lesser known talents and by talent I mean people who have actual musical talent not freak shows or hacks – Lady Ga Ga, Black Eyed Peas)

    • graeme

Don’t be ridiculous. You might not like them, but Gaga and BEP have major musical talent.

      • Sara

        You’re right about Gaga.

    • invaliduser

bep has musical talent? did you see their performances. they know their music sucks

      • A.J. Simon

Thank you, that one song they have they just repeat the same phrase over and over again “tonights going to be a good night”. That is the laziest writing and it sounds terrible, Its torture is worse than having my teeth drilled. In fact, Hanson’s “mmmBop” from the 90s was less annoying than this crap and that is saying something.

      • AK

Yep, I loved it. They were awesome.

    • Stephanie

I second Bryan Cranston – he was great as Dr. Tim Whatley on Seinfeld, but at his best as Hal on Malcom in the Middle. I would suggest Matthew Lawrence – I loved him in Brotherly Love and Boy Meets World – I hope he comes back to tv – He was insanely funny!!!!!

      • Ginger

Wow, recalling Brotherly Love and Boy Meets World. Are you still holding out for a new buddy movie starting Freddie Prinze Jr. and Matthew Lillard?

      • Rick

Bryan Cranston would be awesome. He did that improv show that was only on one season (can’t remember the name, but the actors got a crappy trophy if they were picked to win), and he blew everybody else away with his performance! Truly gifted comedian!

    • steve

I agree Livley may be the cute girl of the moment, but we are talking about next month arent we? Is she going to age so much this next few weeks to be old news or something. Not that i expect her to be good or anything, just pointing it out. And wasnt James Franco already a host recently and Lively had a cameo in a sketch of his?

      • Kolathuru

Israel should be meraused against the US where people of color have civil liberties protected by the US Constitution, I am Hawaii born of Asian ancestry currently living in California and enjoy equal rights and socio economic status and opportunities surpassed by none. Immigrates of color including the Falasha love America. I travel frequently internationally and realize the blessings of living in the US. Minorities thrive in America, even Arabs and Muslims. Israel strips legitimate first class citizens of their God given rights. That is called Apartheid. Shame on a country that prides themselves on having an advanced culture. Larry was definitely muzzled because he was denied the right by the JP to respond to false accusations and vicious attacks. Larry’s mistake was compromising himself by writing for the JP which is a publication in decline with a tiny circulation. JP is irrelevant. Larry will soon become a global hero. His cause is already being recognized by the influential media and wire services.

    • k

Yeah, I ain’t watching Lautner and probably not Lively. Cranston would be great, though.

    • megan

FYI Taylor is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. Times have changed since the 1970s.

      • Kelsey

When Lautner can open a movie on his own, without “Twilight” above the title, then he can be called “one of the biggest stars.” Twilight fans would have seen New Moon no matter who had played Jacob. Riding the coattails of a franchise film with little else to your name does not you a big star, sorry.

      • iamlikemegan

Justin Timberlake has been in more movies than your shirtless werewolf

      • smart

the more things change the more they are the same. obsessed girls claiming the new thing is the best thing ever.

      • @megan

FYI – you have NOOOOO clue what you’re talking about (biggest star in Hollywood? He wasn’t even the biggest star in Twilight, and was practically a NO-NAME before that)

        Gosh, to be 14 & stupid again…

    • Eve

Please get off your pompous high horse. While Lautner may not be the most talented pick, he’s certainly the most popular stars in the moment. Having popular acts brings in views, which boosts ratings, which keeps the show on the air. Bringing in acts that aren’t the talk of the town is just bad business, and that’s what TV is. A business. So everyone, stop hating on people who obviously have something going for them if they’re this famous.

      • Racha

Taylor Lautner Hilarious Video Are you a fan of Taylor Lautner? Then check this video out while waiting to watch Breaking Dawn Movie this November. He is very ouharilis in this video and you would not want to miss watching this! You will surely love it!

  • twicurious

taylor lautner will be worse than michael phelps.

    • C

Michael Phelps did so bad because he’s an athlete, not an performer. He didn’t know how to handle himself in that setting. Taylor’s not THAT great of an actor, but I could see him being all right.

  • kristine89

I was hoping for Rob to do it, but taylor would probably be better at it considering how much more comfortable he is in the talk show circuit. Plus, taylor swift just did it so maybe she put in a good word for her rumored boyfriend.

  • jack

both taylor host snl. turning into madtv

    • Kal

      Didn’t Mad TV get cancelled?

      • Andi

        Lord I hope so.

      • AK

  • snlapologist

fourth weeks guests icarly and musical guest justin bieber

    • megan

    • iamlikemegan

sorry megan i guess you are 13. when i was your age I was not obsessing i had a girlfriend

      • Maureen

I think Megan was being sarcastic.

    • jim

At that point, they move the show to the Disney channel. It doesnt matter if the host can act. Its about if the writers can relate to them. So Lautner’s probably toast. Arent there big Christmas movie actors available in December?

  • snlapologist

fifth week guests sarah palin and musical guest susan boyle

  • l.d.

James Franco yes! But for everyone else listed, doesn’t it seem like SNL would have learned its lesson about having non-funny people on the show?

    • Nick

Zing. You are on the money. Franco rocks but the other pretty faces have no f’n substance.

  • snlapologist

great gift idea for christmas the taylor lautner abs cheese grater

    • Katerin

There’s this dog that looks just like one of the wolves´╗┐ from The´╗┐ Twilight New Moon. Just type in The Twilight Saga New Moon wolf look-a-like.

    • Viri

They’ve certainly made Jacob a lot more paiealpng than in the first one. I think he had to buff up heaps since they were wondering how he was going to pull it off, BUT I don’t think they are going to let ‘juice’ into the equation especially if that got out into media control. Scavangers they are. Im just glad that ‘green’ hue is gone and a decent director is on board.

  • S.O.

Out of those 3, most looking forward to James Franco and Muse. Finally an actual Alternative Rock Band playing on SNL. Don’t let it stop there.

  • invaliduser

this week on larry king taylor lautner. kristen stewart will concincgly play a corpse on csi. this year there is a robert pattinson float in the thanksgiving day parade. aliens will come to earth and request a meeting with taylor lautner.

  • Kris

Taylor has been pretty funny on the talk show circuit, and up for anything thrown at him. At least they finally have a host with a successful movie

    • invaliduser

the only thing funny about blake lively and taylor lutner is their acting

    • KarKar

You must be easily amused if you found Taylor to be “funny” on the talk show circuit.

    • invaliduser

i agree kris is easily amused. she probably thought the new kids on the block were funny too. just not funny like we did

      • Seema

Heya exceptional wetisbe! Does running a blog like this require a massive amount work? I’ve virtually no understanding of coding however I had been hoping to start my own blog soon. Anyways, if you have any recommendations or techniques for new blog owners please share. I understand this is off topic nevertheless I simply wanted to ask. Many thanks!

  • Kalie

I’m excited about Muse and Franco, but Blake Lively and Taylor Lautner?? Shouldn’t Rob Pattinson get to host before he does? I think he’d be hilarious and at least he’s an adult.
