Susan Boyle, who became an instant singing sensation over the summer with her performance on Britain’s Got Talent, will be the subject of a TV Guide Channel documentary I Dreamed a Dream: The Susan Boyle Story, via a report Yahoo News.
The hour-long program, set to air at 8pm EST on Dec. 13, will trace Boyle’s rise from a small Scottish village to international fame, and feature interviews with both Simon Cowell and the singer herself, as well as friends and celebrities.
According to a report yesterday in Reuters, Boyle appears set to have the biggest album in the U.K. this year. A spokesman for retail chain HMV said the 48-year-old was on course for first-day sales of nearly 150,000 copies in Britain, and could easily hit 400,000 by week’s end, making it the fastest selling release there this year.

OK – the TV guide channel is doing original programming – and all this time – I thought they just told you what crap was on the other channels……
The TV Gudie channel has been do origianl programming for a long time now. You must not watch any of it. I don’t blame you you are not missing anything.
There is no telling why some people just can’t see pure beauty,Susan has a miraculous talent. Open your ears, and get rid of your prejudice. You may just be amazed.
Susan Boyle has provided a breath of fresh air for the entertainment industry. What a relief from hearing the screaming and twanging of guitars and the banging of drums. Now one can sit back and relax as they breath in the pure magic Susan Boyle provides with her personal renditions of songs long forgotten. She does not rely on gimmicks or gross jesters to get attention. She has inner strength and reminds of the good that is in the world. I say. What a voice. What a talent. What a woman.

It’s so sad that so many people today are so shallow! Ms. Boyle may not be a “raving beauty” by today’s idiotic, Hollywood-driven standards, but she has an inner strenght and beauty that shines through her eyes, her words, and her music. I just received my copy of her new album, and the photos on it were excellent; she looked adorable on the cover, and the photo on the back is beautiful! I wish young people especially would remember that if they are lucky, they too will grow old one day, and they aren’t going to fit these ridiculous advertizing standards either. Ms. Boyle has courage, and above all, TALENT. She’s the finest singer since Barbra Streisand, and that’s saying a lot.Ditto what Joyce, Robin, and Debbra stated! Susan Boyle will be singing successfuly long after these “flash in the pan” one-hit no-talents have been forgotten.
Susan is God’s gift to people who know how to love.
I have just purchased Susan Boyle’s new cd and it is truly is the best since Josh Groban. I once again watched her Britian’s Got Talent segment which brings tears every time I see it. She certainly showed all those that snickered at her that you can’t judge a book by it’s cover. Don’t change a thing Susan – you are great the way you are.

TV Guide Channel??? Can’t watch it. That channel is not offered by any cable company where I live, and I live in one of the biggest cities in the world. Perhaps Simon Cowell could get the know the United State a little better? I mean if he is going to market his projects to us. Then again, maybe this is not a slip up since he’s probably pretty sure he can sell the dvd of this just as fast as Susa’s cd is selling. He’s probably right, but still a selfish pig.
