The USA Network crime comedy Psych will return for a fifth season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Stars James Roday and Dule Hill are locked down for a 16-episode run as, respectively, a fake psychic and his best friend/partner in a police consulting business.

Fun show that I only picked up on because my daughter enjoys it… Now I never miss an episode either. I agree that James Roday doesn’t get enough credit for his work (and Dule Hill remains great in anything he does too)… A shame that it’s that Mentalist crap that’s on a major network and gets far more attention. Anyhow, Roday’s hilarious. If WB ever gets a movie of “The Flash” together, and if it’s the Wally West version of Flash, I think Roday would be perfect for the part. He deserves to a bigger star.

I love Psych and am glad it got renewed. I like the Mentalist. The two shows are nothing alike so I am not getting all the hate for Mentalist. There are tons of super observant characters in TV shows. So what. And of course you all know that the Mentalist gets more attention because it is on CBS. No matter how good a show is on say the CW, some people will not watch it just because of the network.
It’s simple a reason why people see the mentalist as a rip off of psych because it is. Even though imo they are both great shows, Psych came years before and does it in a more original, and more entertaining way. The mentalist is the sunday brunch version of Psych’s saturday night antics, and leftovers are hardly as good as the original.

This show is amazing! The cast just works and it really is one of the best scripted shows on the air today. We need more psych instead of the in plain sight show.
