The white glove that Michael Jackson wore during his Motown 25 performance in 1983 went for a winning bid of $350,000 at a Nov. 21 memorabilia auction in NYC, Reuters reports. This was substantially more than pre-sale price estimates for the iconic accessory, described by the auction house owner as “the Holy Grail of Michael Jackson.” Other big-ticket items included a black zipper jacket worn by Jackson during the Bad tour in 1989, sold for $225,000.
