Production on Courteney Cox’s ABC sitcom, Cougar Town, has been stopped while Cox deals with a family matter. According to an ABC rep, via People, “We can confirm production on Cougar Town has been temporarily shut down in order for Courteney to deal with a private family matter.”

It’s doing pretty well. ABC gave it a full-season pickup. I think it’s averaging about 8 million viewers.
Ah…we are around when 8 million viewers is enough for a full season order. 20, or heck, even 10 years ago, 8 million would get you canceled.
