Doctor Who fans will soon get to see the finale of David Tennant as The Doctor. BBC America will air Doctor Who: The Waters of Mars on Dec. 19, and Doctor Who: The End of Time, Part One will premiere on Dec. 26. The second half of The End of Time special will premiere on a date to be announced soon. A clip of The End of Time, Part One can be found on BBC America’s website. Also, Waters and End of Time (both parts) will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on Feb. 2, 2010. A five-disc set, Doctor Who: Specials Collection, is also out that day. As previously reported, Tennant will hand over Doctor duties to Matt Smith, who will become the 11th Doctor for the series set to premiere in 2010.

Not having to wait until July for this, is my Christmas present. Thank you BBC America.
Thank you BBCA for airing the finale so close to the UK date. I hope this continues for season five.
Oh phew, I’m so glad we’ll get to see it so soon after Waters of Mars.
This is my favorite article on this site… EVER! Please continue to follow/support/report on Doctor Who or Torchwood.
As was mentioned, this is like a Christmas present to North American DW fans!
I’m so excited about the Doctor Who specials. But, I’m sad that David Tennant is leaving. I know who Matt Smith is from seeing him on Masterpiece Mystery in the Sally Lockhart films (which starred Billie Piper.) Smith is a good actor, but he has a really tough act to follow. David Tennant is amazing as the Doctor!
Bless you, BBCA! Now I can (very happily) stop bashing you guys for taking so long to air episodes after they are premiered in the UK.
