Sony Pictures Entertainment announced yesterday that Michael Jackson’s This Is It had passed a box-office milestone, collecting over $200 million worldwide in theater receipts in its first two weeks of release. The movie opened on Oct. 28 and recently had its limited run extended into December.

Excellent result with Michael Jackson’s This Is It movie! I saw it on Saturday Nov. 7th. It is superb, Michael’s dazzling dance moves and performances with his band and dancers! And to answer the previous post–it has earned far more than Hannah Montana’s concert movie–that movie was mostly watched by teens and tweens, a very young audience, rather than the many demographics that This Is It got.
Thats the way to go! Hurray!

I’ve seen This Is It 11 times and counting. I will see it again tonight and tomorrow. I simply can not get enough of Michael. It is AMAZING!! BRILLIANT!! I LOVE IT! I cried, I laughed, I cheered, I melted (Michael is so SEXY) and I wasn’t alone. The audience was right there with me. I simply can’t get enough. Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough, right? Well, I haven’t. I will see it a least twice a week until it is no longer in theaters. This is Michael Jackson like we’ve never seen him, not the media distorted version that was fed to us. Michael is so loving, kind, and respectful and cares so much about the world and everything in it. He was singing and dancing like he was 25. The stuff Michael and Kenny were working on for this concert was mind blowing and simply must be seen on the big screen. Don’t cheat yourself, GO SEE IT IN THE THEATER! Kenny, THANK YOU for putting this documentary together with such love. And thank you for being a TRUE friend to Michael. I love you for what you’ve done for Michael and Michael, I love you more!!!!!

I’ve seen This is it twice and plan on seeing it for the third time and own the dvd.I loved it !!! And I’m not just saying that because I’m a huge MJ fan and I love his music ,but honestly it was an amazing movie, one of the best movie experiences ever. The audience including me were completely enthralled.He had so much energy and love to give. To think that these were only rehearsal footage,we can only imagine what the actual concert would have been like. I would like to thank Mr. Kenny Ortega for putting this film together and giving the fans something they can always remember. MJ I love you and I hope you can see from heaven how much your fans adore you. Please people, if you have not yet seen this movie yet , see it. Worth the price of admission and then some.

mj’s movie was one of the best movies i have ever seen in a while .yet this his legacy will contuine .he will be in our hearts ever.
I saw the movie, I loved it. The world is not the same, as it once was, because a great spirit, such as Michael Jackson, is not in it, a prophecy was spoken, that he is coming back from the dead, to be a great sign and wonder to the world, to make people believe and have faith in Jesus Christ, I believe the prophecy, and I believe this will happen before the year is out.
