Andrea Gross, the mother of the late Adam Goldstein (DJ AM), is alleging that her son’s death was the result of the plane crash that he survived in September 2008, People reports. In a $20 million lawsuit against the plane manufacturer Learjet and the pilots’ estates, Gross has added a wrongful death claim. “The crash ultimately caused Goldstein’s death at a later date,” the lawsuit alleges. Goldstein died in August of an accidental drug overdose. A trial is currently set for March 2.

Well, I’m no legal expert and don’t know much about liability, but survivor’s guilt could very possibly have led to his relapse.

Yes, most people deal with grief by trying to gouge a company for millions of dollars. Get a grip!
What a joke. She should be ashamed of herself. I understand she suffered a horrible loss and it’s very sad. But talk about denial… She son died from ingesting enough drugs to take down a horse. He lived a lifestyle that was doomed to end badly. This suit doesn’t even make sense. This is indicative the “sue everyone, blame everyone else” attitude that so many people in this country especially adopt. Ugh.

This lawsuit is a jike. It’s sad that he died but he was a drug addict before the crash and continued being a drug addict after the crash. Your son was a drug addict, he overdosed, I’m sorry but this is just stupid. Money and lawsuits will not help with grief, I hope they throw this suit out. They should since he was a notoriouse drug addict before the plane crash ever happened. I mean he had cocaine in his system.
